Have you ever wondered why laser hair removal works better on dark hair?

Laser works by targeting pigment in the hair follicle. Darker hair contains more pigment, which allows the laser energy to be absorbed more effectively. This is what helps damage the follicle and slow future hair growth.

Lighter, grey or very fine hair contains much less pigment, which means the laser has less to target.
