✨ Sometimes, you have to believe in yourself before anyone else does. ✨
Today reminded me of something I’m learning to believe more and more…
I have something to offer. I have something of value. And I am worth investing in.
For a long time, it’s easy to question yourself.
Am I good enough?
Will this work?
Am I making the right decision?
What if I fail?
But today, whilst supporting someone, I was reminded of why I started.
I listened. I understood. I helped them make sense of what they were facing and find a way forward.
And in that moment, I realised… this is what I have to offer.
Sometimes believing in yourself means taking that leap of faith before you know exactly where you’re going to land.
It means trusting your experience.
Trusting your instincts.
Trusting the skills you’ve built along the way.
And, most importantly, trusting that you are worth the investment.
There will always be hurdles. There will always be uncertainty. There will be moments when you question whether you’ve made the right choice.
But perhaps success isn’t about knowing exactly how you’re going to overcome every obstacle.
Perhaps it’s about knowing that whatever comes your way, you’ll find a way through it.
I’m learning to believe in myself.
I’m learning to recognise my worth.
And I’m learning that sometimes taking a chance on yourself is the greatest investment you can make.
Believe in yourself. Back yourself. Take the leap.
You might just discover that you were capable of far more than you ever gave yourself credit for. ❤️

NOT EVERYONE HAS THE SUPPORT NETWORK THEY NEED ❤️
The reality is, not everyone has that support network when they need it.
Friends who check in.
Friends who listen.
Friends who encourage me when I need a little push.
And friends who know when I don’t need a push at all — I just need someone to be there.
Sometimes family live too far away.
Sometimes friends are busy with their own lives.
Sometimes circumstances change.
And sometimes you simply don’t have someone you can call when everyday life feels a little too much.
That’s where KLB Support comes in.
I want to offer practical, reliable support that’s centred around your needs.
Whether you need a helping hand around the house, someone to accompany you on an outing, help getting organised, support with everyday tasks, or simply someone to spend time with — I’m here to support you in the ways that matter most to you.
At KLB, I take the time to understand what you need and how I can help. I’m not here to take over. I’m here to walk alongside you, offering support that helps make life feel a little easier, more manageable and more fulfilling.
Because everyone’s needs are different, and your support should be personal to you.
Sometimes you just need someone who’s there to help with what matters to you.
KLB Support — Keep Living Better.
Support tailored around your needs. ❤️
THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT US 🩷
This morning, a group chat with my friends reminded me just how important the right people can be.
They asked if I fancied going for a run. Normally, I probably would have said yes without thinking twice.
But today, I’m just not feeling myself. I’m tired. Exhausted, actually. And I knew that getting out for a run wasn’t what I needed today.
So I said no.
Sometimes, I need my friends to say, “Come on, get yourself out there — you’ll feel so much better for it!” Sometimes we all need that little bit of encouragement, a gentle push and someone to remind us that we are capable of more than we think.
But today was different. They knew I didn’t need a push. I just needed support.
They didn’t try to convince me, make me feel guilty or tell me what I should be doing. They simply reminded me they were there, understood how I was feeling and let me know it was okay.
And it got me thinking…
The people who truly support us don’t always push us forward. Sometimes they simply stand beside us.
They encourage us when we need encouragement.
They listen when we need to talk.
They give us space when we need to breathe.
They give us that gentle nudge when we need it — but they also recognise when we need to stop.
Because supporting someone isn’t about always knowing the right thing to say or do.
It’s about knowing the person.
Listening.
Understanding.
And sometimes, simply saying, “I’m here. You don’t have to do anything. I understand.”
We all need people like that.
People who remind us that we don’t have to do everything alone.
People who can recognise when we need a gentle nudge forward — and when what we really need is permission to stop, rest and look after ourselves.
So today, I’m grateful for my friends.
Not because they got me out for a run…
But because they understood when I couldn’t.
Sometimes support isn’t about helping someone take another step.
Sometimes it’s about walking alongside them until they’re ready to take it. 💛
Learning the importance of perseverance
Watching my daughter try to climb a skate ramp the other day got me thinking about perseverance.
She tried.
She didn’t make it.
So she tried again.
Each time, she changed something. The speed she approached with, the way she positioned herself, the timing, the way she moved her body. She watched what happened, adjusted, and tried again.
And eventually… she did it.
It would have been so easy after the first few attempts to decide she couldn’t do it. To get frustrated, walk away and tell herself, “I can’t.”
But she didn’t.
And it reminded me that sometimes we give up on ourselves far too quickly.
We often focus so much on the end result that we forget to notice everything we are learning along the way.
Every attempt teaches us something.
Every setback gives us information.
Every time we try again, we build resilience, confidence and a little more belief in ourselves.
Perhaps the lesson isn’t always in finally reaching the top of the ramp.
Perhaps it’s in everything we learn about ourselves while trying to get there.
So, if something feels difficult right now, don’t be too quick to decide that you can’t do it.
Maybe you just haven’t found your way of doing it yet.
Keep trying. Keep learning. Keep adjusting. Keep going.
Because sometimes perseverance isn’t about refusing to fail.
It’s about being willing to learn from each attempt and try again. 🤍
Keep Living Better.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely gentleman. As we talked about his needs and what support might be helpful, he said something that really made me stop and think.
“I’d like someone to talk to.”
He has a loving family and already has some practical support in place. Yet, what he really wanted was something much simpler — connection.
Someone to listen.
Someone to take an interest.
Someone to hear what he has to say and make him feel seen.
He had spent much of his life working, raising a family and filling his days with the busyness of life. His children had grown up and left home, and now, he finds himself spending much of his time alone.
The walls that were once filled with noise, laughter, conversation and excitement are now much quieter.
It reminded me that sometimes, the thing we need most isn’t another practical solution it’s something more basic, that human need to feel connected.
Sometimes, we just need someone to talk to.
A conversation. A cup of tea. Someone sitting beside us, taking the time to listen and share a little of our day.
It may seem simple, but that connection can bring so much comfort, pleasure and meaning.
Having someone to talk to is priceless.
And sometimes, simply knowing that someone is there can make all the difference.

I took a leap of faith, after doubting myself for so long & questioning whether or not I was worthy of the dreams I hoped to achieve. Doubting whether I was good enough, experienced enough & could deliver what I was offering. Only to realise that there were so many people, backing me and believing in me! I’m utterly shocked, but so grateful to have the wonderful family, friends & colleagues backing me & believing in me!
Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to comment & show their support! You believed in me when I doubted myself.

Hi my name is Kerry,
✨For quite some time now, I’ve been quietly working on something that’s incredibly close to my heart.✨KLB Support- Keep Living Better
This hasn’t come from a sudden decision. It’s been shaped by years of reflection, experience and a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Being a mental health nurse has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I’ve had the honour of supporting people through some of their most challenging days, but also celebrating their strength, resilience and the moments when they found hope again. Those experiences have shaped not only the nurse I am today, but the person I have become.
Over time, I’ve realised that what fulfils me most isn’t simply completing a task or meeting a target. It’s having the time to truly listen, to understand someone’s story, to build genuine relationships and to support people in a way that reflects who they are and what matters most to them.
I’ve met people who didn’t quite fit the criteria for support, yet were still facing some of life’s greatest challenges. Their struggles were real, and their need for someone to listen, understand and walk alongside them was just as important.
There is a place for pathways, diagnoses and eligibility criteria—they all have an important role. But I believe support should always begin by seeing the person first. Their story before their circumstances. Their strengths as well as their struggles. Because sometimes the greatest difference isn’t made by changing a person’s circumstances—it’s made by ensuring they don’t have to face them alone and finding ways to overcome and adjust.
I have found myself wanting to create something that reflected those values.
Something built on compassion, connection and kindness.
Something that allows me to walk alongside people, at their pace, on their terms.
Not because I wanted to leave behind everything my career has given me, but because I wanted to carry those experiences forward in a way that feels true to who I am.
That journey has led me to create KLB Support – Keep Living Better.
This is more than a business to me. It’s a reflection of everything I believe support should be.
I’m excited, a little nervous, but above all, incredibly hopeful for what lies ahead. I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
💙 Kerry
Come follow my journey, spread the word and share to friends and family. Whilst I will still be working in the NHS I’ll be slowing building my profile in the community, balancing both responsibilities with care, compassion & professionalism. 💙
