The Beauty Den - Your Little Escape

Following on from my previous post, which I’ve now removed, I’ve made the difficult decision to close my beauty business after this weekend.

This definitely wasn’t the outcome I’d hoped for when I started in August 2024, but after a lot of thought, I know it’s the right decision for me.

I want to say a huge thank you to every single person who has supported me along the way. Whether you’ve booked in with me, recommended me, shared my posts or simply cheered me on, I’m so grateful for every bit of support.

I also want to say a special thank you to my nana. She’s supported me from day one, and when I was no longer able to work from my own home, she opened up hers without hesitation. She gave me the opportunity to keep my little business going by letting me create my beauty space in her garden, and I’ll always be so grateful for that. I honestly couldn’t have continued without her love and support❤️

Over the coming days I’ll be selling my beauty equipment and stock, including a beauty bed, wax pot, lash extension supplies, aftercare packs, aftercare cards, goodie bags and various other bits and pieces. If you know anyone who’s just starting out or is looking for beauty equipment, please feel free to tag them or send them my way.

I wanted to come on here and be a little bit honest…

I know I haven’t been the most active lately and my replies & posting haven’t been as consistent as they usually are. The truth is I’ve had a lot going on behind the scenes — mentally, financially and just in my personal life — and it’s been a lot to navigate at once.

On top of that, I’ve really struggled with social media recently. The pressure to post, feeling like I don’t know what to share or where I fit into such a big industry… it’s been quite overwhelming and at times it’s made me take a step back.

I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t affected my confidence too. The beauty industry is huge and with things like clients not always returning, it can feel really disheartening and make you question yourself more than you’d like to admit.

But the truth is — I genuinely love what I do. This isn’t just a job to me, it’s something I’m really passionate about and all I want is to keep growing this dream and welcome as many of you as possible into my little beauty den 🤍

Having more of you in my chair not only means the world to me, but it also helps more than you probably realise — it gives me things to share, things to be proud of and helps me show up on here with more confidence.

So even if I’m quiet on social media, it doesn’t mean I’m not here. I’m still working, still showing up and still doing my best behind the scenes ✨

I’m just taking things at my own pace right now, focusing on getting back to a better place and finding my flow again.
