Continuing Professional Development | Equine Myofascial Release🦄
I’ve recently completed CPD in Equine Myofascial Release, adding another technique to my toolkit as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist.
Myofascial release focuses on the relationship between the muscles and fascia, using slow, considered techniques to help address areas of restriction and tension within the soft tissues.
I’m a big believer in continually developing my knowledge and techniques, so I can keep providing the best possible session for every horse I work with!

✨ BEFORE & AFTER ✨
Gluteal muscle release following an equine sports massage 🐴
A lovely example of the subtle changes that can be seen following massage treatment.
The gluteal muscles can hold a lot of tension, particularly in horses working regularly, and addressing these areas can help encourage relaxation, suppleness and freedom of movement.
📸 Before → After
Although the changes can sometimes be subtle, they can be really interesting to see when the photos are taken from the same angle.
Every horse is different, and massage is just one part of supporting overall muscular health and performance. 💜

Since it has been two years since opening business and there’s quite a few new faces around, I thought I’d reintroduce myself!
I’m Erin the face behind ES Equine Sports Massage Therapy 🦄
I’m a fully qualified and insured Equine Sports Massage Therapist, as well as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Horses have always been a huge part of my life, and I love helping them feel and perform at their very best, whether they’re competition horses, happy hackers, youngsters or enjoying retirement.
Equine sports massage can benefit horses of all ages and disciplines by:
🐴 Promoting relaxation and reducing muscle tension
🐴 Improving comfort and flexibility
🐴 Increasing range of movement and suppleness
🐴 Enhancing circulation
🐴 Supporting performance and recovery
🐴 Helping reduce the risk of injury
As part of my sessions, I can also incorporate low level laser therapy (red light therapy), where appropriate. This can help:
✨ Increase blood flow to the treated area
✨ Reduce inflammation and discomfort
✨ Support healing and tissue repair
✨ Encourage the body’s natural recovery processes
📍Covering South Lanarkshire and surrounding areas.
If you’d like to find out more or book an appointment, just send me a message, I’m always happy to answer any questions.
Thank you so much for all the support so far, and I look forward to meeting even more lovely horses (and their owners!) 🩵
