🌿 RSO vs FECO — WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE? 🌿

There’s often confusion around RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) and FECO (Full Extract Cannabis Oil) because both are concentrated cannabis extracts. While they can look similar, the terms generally refer to different extraction traditions and approaches.

🖤 RSO — Rick Simpson Oil

RSO is traditionally associated with the extraction method popularised by Rick Simpson. It is typically a very dark, thick and highly concentrated cannabis extract.

The traditional approach has historically involved strong solvents, with the finished product being concentrated after extraction. Because some historical methods involve hazardous solvents, they are not suitable for home experimentation and require appropriate professional safety controls.

🌿 FECO — Full Extract Cannabis Oil

FECO stands for Full Extract Cannabis Oil. The term generally describes an extract intended to retain a broad range of compounds naturally present in the cannabis plant, including cannabinoids and other plant constituents.

FECO is commonly associated with extraction using methods such as ethanol or CO₂, followed by careful processing and concentration.

The result is generally a dark, syrup-like full-plant extract.

🔬 THE KEY DIFFERENCE

The biggest distinction isn’t simply the colour or thickness of the oil — it’s the extraction process, processing conditions and intended composition.

Both RSO and FECO can contain multiple cannabinoids and other cannabis compounds, but “FECO” isn’t a single standardised formulation, and products sold under either name can vary considerably.

🌱 FULL-PLANT EXTRACTION

The concept behind full-extract products is to preserve a wider range of the plant’s naturally occurring compounds rather than isolating a single cannabinoid.

That can include:

• Cannabinoids
• Terpenes
• Flavonoids
• Plant lipids and other naturally occurring constituents

The exact profile depends on the cannabis variety, extraction method and subsequent processing.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The name “RSO” or “FECO” alone doesn’t tell you the potency, cannabinoid profile, purity or safety of a product. For commercially produced extracts, look for independent laboratory testing, cannabinoid analysis and contaminant testing.

🌿 The plant matters. The extraction matters. And testing matters.

🎩😂 “What are you doing tonight?”

Me: SHMOKINNNNNN! 🌿💨

Everyone talks about The Mask… but have they met The Herbal Activist? 😎👑

The Mask put on a green face to hide from the world…

The Herbal Activist puts on a green face to remind the world that nature was here first! 🌍🌱

Maybe they called him The Mask because he was masking his problems? 🤔

Or maybe he was practising for the digital age where everyone wants your face, your fingerprint, your iris scan, your DNA sample, your inside leg measurement, and probably your favourite biscuit too! 🍪🤣

Meanwhile, The Herbal Activist is just standing there like:

🕺 “You can keep your digital drama…”

🌿 “I’ve got plants.”

💚 “I’ve got cannabinoids.”

😎 “And I’ve got a smile bigger than The Mask!”

The real question isn’t:

❓ “What are you doing tonight?”

The real question is:

❓ “Why is everyone so stressed?”

The Herbal Activist’s answer:

🎩🌿💨 SHMOKINNNNNN!

Plant. Heal. Liberate. 💚

😂 Remember folks, laughter is free, nature is amazing, and sometimes the best medicine is a smile and a good sense of humour.

🚨 CANNABIS CAFÉS COMING TO THE ENGLISH 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 MARKET SOON 🌿

With the Green Party pushing for legal spaces as the UK cannabis debate continues to grow, we’re starting to see real conversations around safe, regulated environments for patients and consumers. This isn’t just about cafés — it’s about access, safety, and standards.

What’s been missing for too long is clarity and trust in the supply chain. That’s where full chain of custody comes in. From seed to shelf, patients deserve transparency and consistency.

✔️ Quality flower
✔️ Quality medicine
✔️ Quality assured production

We’re talking about recognised frameworks and standards like:
• GACP (Good Agricultural & Collection Practices)
• GMP / cGMP (pharmaceutical-grade production)
• ISO 22000 food-grade safety systems

These aren’t just buzzwords — they mean traceability, accountability, and patient safety at every stage. From cultivation to processing to final product, everything should be measurable, verified, and trusted.

This is the disconnect that needs fixing in the UK market right now.

If cannabis cafés are going to become a reality, they must be built on regulated, high-quality supply chains — not shortcuts.

🌱 Exciting times are coming for patients — but only if we get the foundations right.
