ONCOLOGY MASSAGE FOLLOWING BREAST CANCER🎗️🩷

Oncology massage isn't a fixed technique — it has to shift depending on where a client is in their journey.

Early diagnosis, active treatment, post-treatment recovery: each stage carries different risks, different sensitivities, different needs.

It's the difference between a massage that's generically "gentle" and one that's actually right for where a client's body is right now.

Following breast cancer treatment, the body can feel very different.
Surgery, treatment, scarring, changes in movement and the emotional impact of everything you've been through can all leave their mark.

A carefully adapted massage may help to:

• Ease muscle tension and tightness — particularly around the chest, shoulders, neck and upper back.

• Improve comfort and mobility — helping you feel more comfortable moving your shoulder and arm where treatment or surgery has left you feeling restricted.

• Support scar tissue work — when appropriate and once the area is fully healed, gentle techniques can help soften areas of tight or restricted tissue.

• Encourage relaxation — slow, rhythmic massage can help settle the nervous system and provide a much-needed opportunity to switch off.

• Support your overall sense of wellbeing — sometimes having an hour where nothing is expected of you and your body can simply be cared for is valuable in itself.
