Glow Moore with Mon
Hi, I’m Monica 👋 I fell in love with Tropic after seeing how gentle and effective it was on my own skin.
Inspired by its mission to create a healthier, greener world, I aim to make skincare feel simple and enjoyable again
I’ve heard quite a few fellow Tropic Ambassadors say that our Body Love Firming Buttercream seems to help keep the mozzies away. 🦟
As someone who usually gets bitten on holiday, I thought I’d give it a try for myself while I’m here in Lake Garda. ☀️🇮🇹
Body Love is actually designed to deeply nourish and help leave skin feeling firmer and smoother with ingredients like shea butter, pink peppercorn and vitamin E. The mosquito bit? That’s just something I’ve heard from others, so I’m putting it to the test!

Day 2 of our holiday… ☀️🇮🇹 and Tropic launches something that would have come in very handy!
It’s 33°C here today, I have packed our Discovery Nourish Kit, which is perfect for travelling. But I have to admit, I wish I’d had the new Summer Spritz too that’s contained in the skincare kit launched today.
A cool, mango-scented facial mist would have been so refreshing in this heat! 🥭💦
The new Limited Edition Skincare Travel Kit includes:
💚 Hydrating Cleanser
💚 Skin Feast
☀️ Sun Day SPF50
💦 Summer Spritz
£34 (saving £14).
If you’ve got a holiday coming up, this is well worth a look. Just don’t leave it too long, as it’s a limited edition kit.
And one more bit of good news… Tropic has also extended the free Very Berry & Vanilla Velvet Body Care Set offer until Sunday 19th July when you spend £90+, so there’s a little extra time if you’ve been thinking about treating yourself. 💚

Here’s Susie and her loyal sidekick Carlton.
One thing that struck me over the weekend was seeing Susie Ma around so naturally. I actually didn’t want to interrupt or ‘stalk’ her for a photo because she was there enjoying the festival too. It felt less like a founder making an appearance and more like someone genuinely sharing the experience with everyone else.
I had the best time at my very first Tropic Fest, heading there with five lovely people from our team and joining around 4,000 fellow Tropic Ambassadors.
There were a few campervan hiccups along the way 😂, but they all became part of the adventure!
The weekend was packed with so much to enjoy from breathwork and swimming in the lake (which some of us jokingly called the swamp! 😂), to dancing with Gok Wan and Ministry of Sound, watching Diversity perform, and seeing Alison Hammond, to name just a few.
Night 1 was music icon night
Night 2 was festival vibes - sparkle and colour
There was always something going on, with free food and drinks throughout the weekend, so much to get involved in, and something for everyone. 💚
One of the things that really stood out to me was seeing Tropic founder Susie Ma joining in with everyone. 4mths pregnant with her second child in that heat too.
She wasn’t standing apart from the crowd, she was right there, sharing the experience alongside the whole Tropic community. I thought that was really special. What a lady.
It was hot, inspiring, uplifting and so much fun.
Thank you, Tropic Skincare, for an unforgettable first Tropic Fest.
Here’s just a little glimpse of the weekend. 💚

100/100 🌏♻️ as rated by the good shopping guide
Ever stood in front of the skincare aisle or searched online and wondered which brands actually back up their ethical claims?
We've just assessed 46 skincare brands - and the results are illuminating.
The good news: plenty of brands score highly, and most of our top performers hold Ethical Accreditation. They're leading the way on environmental impact, ingredient sourcing, packaging, and more.
The reality check: E45, Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, Olay, and Simple all score in the low 20s and teens. That's a significant gap.
Here's what matters: ethical skincare doesn't have to break the bank. There are approved ethical brands at every price point. You just need to know where to look.

Today I spent the day with other Tropic Ambassadors at a Strive to Thrive training day. 💚
It wasn’t about skincare.
It was about mindset.
About believing in yourself, recognising the stories we tell ourselves, and understanding how our thoughts can either keep us stuck or help us move forward.
One of the questions we were asked was:
“What would you never have imagined yourself doing?”
It really made me stop and think.
A couple of years ago, I would never have imagined myself standing behind a stall, sharing a brand I’m passionate about, running skincare workshops, or walking into a room full of strangers to talk about Tropic.
Looking back, it’s not just my skincare knowledge that’s grown, it’s me.
Being part of Tropic has given me opportunities to step outside my comfort zone, meet some incredible people and challenge myself in ways I never expected.
We even finished the day with a lovely hand scrub demonstration, which was a nice reminder of why I love sharing Tropic with others.
Today’s biggest takeaway wasn’t about skincare. It was that growth starts with your mindset.
Here’s to continuing to learn, grow and keep saying yes to opportunities. 💚

Have you heard of the Yuka app? 📱
One of my favourite moments from today’s stall… 💚
A lady picked up a Tropic product and said to her friend, “I wonder how this fares on the Yuka app.”
That caught my attention because I use the Yuka app too, so I smiled and said, “Go on, give it a scan!”
She scanned a few products, then looked up and said, “The Yuka app is great!”
I use it myself from time to time. It rates food and cosmetic products, so I find it an interesting way to learn more about what I’m buying.
It was lovely to see someone using a tool they already trust to make up their own mind, rather than simply taking my word for it.
If you use the Yuka app, what’s the best product you’ve scanned?

👇
been reflecting on confidence.
Not confidence in meeting people. I’ve always enjoyed that.
More confidence in myself.
The confidence to put myself out there.
To stop second guessing everything.
To worry a little less about what other people think.
I’m not sure it’s something you ever completely master, but it’s definitely something I’m becoming more aware of.
Just a thought I’ve been sitting with recently. 💚

A humble beginning, a big heart and a lot of determination.
It’s a reminder that every big journey starts with a small step and a belief in something.
Happy 22nd birthday Tropic! 🎂🥳
