The skin on our lips is thinner, more delicate and unlike the rest of our skin, lips cannot protect and hydrate themselves.

Lip balms work by creating a protective barrier on the surface. This helps to repair and lock in moisture.

Be careful....not all lip balms are made equal.

Ours does not contain petrochemicals or palm oil. Its cruelty-free, vegan-friendly and made with real essential oils.

Shea butter is one of the most powerful natural ingredients in skincare - deeply nourishing, rich in fatty acids, and brilliant for supporting your skin barrier.

But here's the catch: it's difficult to work with.

At high temperatures or in fast production, shea butter can become grainy, unstable and lose some of the skin-loving properties that make it so effective. That's why many large-scale skincare brands use either very small amounts or avoid it altogether. Hot tip....the further down the ingredient list on the label, the smaller percentage it plays in the formula.

We take a different approach.

Our cleansing balm is made in small batches, allowing us to work with shea butter 'low and slow'. Shea butter, she's an ingredient that will not be rushed.

We carefully control temperatures to preserve its natural benefits and create that smooth, buttery texture your skin loves.

This superhero ingredient appears in our skincare formula again and again.

Heres why:

Castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid, which is a fatty acid that helps to lock in moisture.

The ricinoleic acid means castor oil has calming properties, which can help reduce redness, irritation and is useful for sensitive skin.

Its effective as an oil based cleanser due to its ability to bind with dirt and excess oil.

It has some natural microbial effects which means it can help to keep pores clearer.

In our natural body wash castor oil helps to boost lather volume and adds creaminess.

We blend castor oil with lighter oils to balance texture and keep our balms and lotion from feeling too heavy.

Spending my hard earned wages at Boots or The Body Shop on skincare was pure joy BUT back then I was making ALL the common mistakes.

Buying skincare products that werent right for my skin, because I saw an Advert.

Thinking factor 8 sun cream was all I needed on a 2-week beach break.

Assuming big beauty brands were cruelty-free (why wouldnt they be!?)

Believing strong cleansers and physical exfoliators were best.

Your skin's been in hibermation......but Spring has entered the chat: Easy ways to wake up your skin after Winter, that wont break the bank.

1. Gently exfoliate.
Winter = build up of dry, dull skin. Once or twice a week is plenty and gentle is key (our clarifying face cleanser is fantastic for this).

2. Switch to lighter hydration.
As the humidity rises and you need less 'insulation'. You can move away from heavy, thick moisturisers.

3. Simplify.
Over layering skincare products can clog and confuse skin. Try to stick to 3-4 multipurpose core products your skin knows and trusts. Bonus points for having a minimal bathroom cabinet!

4. SPF. SPF. SPF.
This should already be a year round habit, but if not starts now. Your future self will thank you.

5. Its not all about the skincare
Drink water, eat greens, get sleep. Laugh often.
