Breathe Beside Me is Laura Lea, a training yoga teacher and a print maker. Using lino cutting and a wonky old typewriter to create art work.

Finally launching this week, Free the Birds, by Laura Lea, has developed the first range of medals and rosettes to be awarded those deserving of recognition of their efforts. Whether that be yourself (after all sometimes we all have to stop and congratulate ourselves on our general amazingness) or your other half, your friend, your mother, daughter, dog and so on, there is a medal for it. The medals are personal, so if there is something specific you want to thank someone for, we can make the right medal for that. The medals and rosettes are made using a mix of materials, from old maps, velux blinds, old buttons, and gorgeous cottons. Do check out the liberty print range, a favourite for Free The Birds. Best of all the medals and rosettes are perfectly postable, so postage costs are free! In development are the new liberty print accessories, little tiny fabric birds to adorn your neck or your wrist. The existing bird broaches are still available for sale too, which is where the Free The Bird movement came from. All items will be going on sale on Thursday the 28th November, when Laura Lea will be joining the official launch party for Fox and Bear, a local vintage shop on Beulah Road, and as well as joining in on wishing Margie well in her new venture will be making these products available to buy.
