Traditional Sew-in: 1 will always
recommend a traditional sew-in if it’s your first time doing a sew in or you’ve never had a silk press. Why? It’s best to have less of your natural hair out as it’s easier to manage. Middle part sew-ins have less hair out and easier to manage in my opinion.
2 part sew-in: You get the option to wear your sew-in in the middle or side whenever you choose. A little more maintenance as both partings will still need be maintained so it lays flat. I wouldn’t recommend this if you’ll wear your hair curly; could look bulky.
Flip over sew-in: This is if you don’t want a clear middle or side part. The front perimeter of your hair is out, so you can flip your hair to any side for an effortless look.
Versatile Sew-ins: This is probably everyone’s favourite. You can have your hair in a ponytail, weae it in the middle if you choose or side as well as flip it over.
However, this is a HIGH maintenance sew-in, if you don’t have a flawless hair routine on lock, forget about it.
Closure sew-ins: No leave out is left behind. Best for giving your leave out a break. You can choose 2x6, 5x5, 6x6 and can be glueless or glued.

Why we bleach knots? *Read below*

By bleaching the small knots at the base of the lace, it makes them less visible, creating the illusion that the hair is growing directly from the scalp. This helps achieve a more natural, seamless finish especially along the hairline and parting.

*Thicker lace and larger knots are easier to detect, can look bulky and not take bleach well; affecting the final outcome.

Thank you to everyone who has booked with me 🤍I truly appreciate you all, wholeheartedly.

From the stories, the banter, and all the shows/movies we’ve watched together, to the advice and friendships I’ve gained, being your hairstylist has truly been a blessing. You’ve all made me feel so loved and valued, and I’ll never take that for granted.🥹

Saying goodbye is never easy, and this has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make. I can only hope this isn’t the end, and that our paths cross again somehow, someway. 🫶🏾

First time doing a sew-in?
Get yourself a 1 part sew in. Why?
A traditional sew-in requires a leave out of your natural hair. Getting something like a versatile sew-in will require a lot of your hair out, probably more than you’ll be able to manage. Mistreating/neglect your hair in a sew-in can lead to: breakage, heat damage, split ends, dryness and uneven hair growth. (not cute).
Preparation before your sew-in appointment?
No.1 put them bundles in your bag so you don’t forget lol.
You want to get your hair washed with a clarifying shampoo first, this removes any prior build up as this can weigh down your hair causing it to look stringy and straightening with buildup will fry your hair.
Follow up with a hydrating shampoo as a clarifying shampoo can make your hair feel really dry. Makes your hair feel soft, has more slip, leas dry and frizzy.
The best thing you’re going to do next is use a hair mask. Currently using Matrix hair food mask WITH a hooded dryer/ hooded heat cap.
Warmth gently lifts the cuticle layer, which makes it easier for the hair mask ingredients to move into the strands. Softness, more elasticity, improved shine and longer lasting moisture:)
