Every formula has to answer a few questions before it becomes a part of Husn Beauty…

✅ Does it actually have a reason to exist?

I’m not interested in adding another step to someone’s routine just because the beauty industry has created space for one. We aren’t followers here.

✅ Can I explain why every ingredient is there?

It shouldn’t just sound impressive on a label, but because it contributes something meaningful to the formula. Its feel, stability or function.

✅ Does the active work with the skin barrier rather than just be a fancy percentage?

Effective doesn’t have to mean aggressive.

✅ Will it work in ‘real life’ scenarios?

On busy mornings, tired evenings, while travelling, or on the days when a ten step routine just isn’t realistic.

✅ And would I genuinely put the Husn name behind it?

Because these aren’t products I select from a catalogue. They’re formulas I create from scratch, and genuinely believe deserve a place in someone’s life.

For me, creating more products has never been the point. Creating something intentional, useful and worth using, is.

By this point in summer, skin can start to feel a little dull and congested.

Weeks of SPF, sweat, heat and repeated cleansing can leave behind more surface build up, roughness and dullness than we realise.

If summer had a scent, it would probably feel a little like this.

Bright lemon first.. fresh, crisp and instantly uplifting. Then the softer, sun warmed tropical florals of plumeria, before heady jasmine lingers in the background.

Scent has a way of becoming part of how we remember a season. A certain flower, a fruit, warm air after a long day.. and suddenly you’re taken back to a moment.

That’s part of what we love about botanical hydrosols. The scent is much lighter than a perfume, but still enough to make a skincare step feel more sensory.
