We tend to spend less time in strong sunshine, making it easier to follow the sun protection advice needed before and after treatments such as IPL. Your skin must still be assessed first, especially if you have a recent tan.

At HiTech Aesthetic Clinic, we look at the type of pigmentation before recommending a treatment. Sun spots and melasma, for example, need different approaches; IPL isn’t suitable for every kind of pigmentation and can make some conditions worse. As a general guide:

For concerns such as pigmentation and redness, we assess your skin’s response at each visit before planning the next session.

✨ Skin peels — every 4–6 weeks
The schedule depends on the type and strength of peel. A gentle peel and a deeper peel won’t follow the same plan.

✨ Microneedling — every 4–6 weeks
Microneedling is often booked as a course, especially when treating texture, post-acne marks or fine lines. The gap between sessions gives your skin time to recover.

✨ Laser hair removal — around 6–8 weeks
Timing can vary by treatment area and hair growth, so your next appointment should be based on how the area responds.

✨ Facials — every 4–6 weeks
A regular facial can help you stay on top of cleansing, hydration and your wider skincare routine.
