As we close off the week, we reflect on children’s mental health week, and the impact of various challenges for children. For those of you who’ve been following us for a while, you may know a bit about our background story, aka our “WHY” behind what we do.
When GrabbyBag was first being designed for launch to the general public, our focus was on the adult or an adult carer of an child or infant. We also knew we’d introduce essential kits for children (loading, watch this space!)
What we didn’t know then, was that we would have another demographic right in our home: children who live with or care for people with disabilities or chronic illness. What impact does that have on them, or their mental health?
🚁The heroine of our story now has a side-kick, a real Robin & Batman duo! And with that, comes an added responsibility to ensure both heroines are well balanced and cared for. As any parent knows, juggling more than one child is difficult, but even more so where special needs or illnesses are involved. 🦸🏻‍♀️ To read more, check out our blog next week with hints and tips as we signpost you to helpful resources and more around young carers.

Closing off 2021 with a few mini-goals ticked off our list! ✅ This allows us to relax & take that well earned break- so a big thank you to everyone who supported us to reach that goal & start focusing on new year, new goals kinda stuff! 😉 Have you thought about your New Year goals or are you just “not there” yet?

💜We had the pleasure of gifting our kits to the members of The Pepperpot Centre, a fantastic charity supporting elderly members of the Caribbean community in Notting Hill, West London. Howard Jeffery, MBE told us “ …the members of our centre will be receiving some Christmas gifts from patrons such as Harrods and we are so happy to include your Grabby Bags in our outreach! Thank you.”
