💜 SOMETIMES, IMPACT IS NOT ABOUT THE NUMBERS.
Today reminded me why I started Felly Health & Wellness CIC.
We held another Women's Health Chat, focusing on Hormonal Health: What Is Really Happening in Your Body?
We explored how hormones influence our mood, sleep, weight, skin, energy and overall wellbeing.
Today's session was small and intimate, but the conversation was meaningful.
And then I came home to this beautiful feedback from one of our attendees. ❤️
She talked about how much she learned, how the information helped her understand her body, and how comfortable she felt asking questions.
That touched me deeply.
As a clinician, I've always believed that healthcare education should not be complicated or intimidating. Women deserve to understand their bodies without needing a medical dictionary.
If one woman walks away feeling more informed, more confident and better equipped to advocate for her health, then something valuable has happened.
We keep showing up. We keep educating. We keep empowering.
Thank you to everyone supporting this journey.

Ladies, not every change in your body is "just getting older".
Sleep changes, mood changes, hot flushes, irregular periods and skin changes can sometimes be linked to hormonal changes.
Today at our Women's Health Chat, we're exploring what hormones actually do and why understanding them matters.
Because women deserve answers, not assumptions. 💜
What's one thing you wish someone had explained to you about your hormones?
You are the only constant in your medical care.”
We came across this statement recently and thought it was an important message to share with our community.
Most of us will see different healthcare professionals throughout our lives. You might speak to your GP, attend A&E, see a specialist, visit an out-of-hours service or receive care from several different teams.
Sometimes, each professional only sees one part of a much bigger picture.
That's why health literacy and patient advocacy matter.
Keep a simple record of your health where you can: your diagnoses, regular medications, allergies, important investigations and hospital or specialist letters. When you have tests, ask what the results mean and whether any follow-up is needed.
If you're supporting a relative who is very unwell or unable to communicate their history clearly, having this information available can also be extremely helpful.
Most importantly, don't be frightened to ask questions.
“What does this result mean?”
“What are you looking for?”
“What should I do if this doesn't improve?”
“When should I seek help again?”
Patient advocacy isn't about distrusting healthcare professionals. Good healthcare works best when patients and healthcare professionals can communicate openly and make decisions together.
At Felly Health & Wellness CIC, improving health literacy is an important part of what we do. We want people in our community to feel informed, confident and able to participate in conversations about their own health.
Please share. It could encourage someone to start keeping their own health record today.
