It sounds wild but, if you’re prone to an oily scalp: have you tried this?

It’s obviously a completely normal response but sometimes in beauty we can be so focused on just the result that we don’t treat the cause.

When your scalp is over-stripped of its natural oils (from over-washing, for example), your sebaceous (oil-producing) glands can overcompensate by pumping out extra sebum.

And the real issue?

If you are prone to an oily scalp, you may also have finer hair, so you’re washing more regularly or washing with clarifying or volume shampoos that give you the instant result you want but are masking the problem.

Then you wonder why your hair is getting drier on the mid-to-ends and your oily scalp remains…or is actually worse.

So give this a go: try washing with an all-natural, moisture shampoo. The one mentioned here is Edition 16 Shampoo for Moisture.
