Ok...so yesterday I was muted and I listened. Today it’s my turn to speak.

I really don’t even know where to begin with what is happening around the world, it’s dehumanising and disgusting that such behaviour still exists in this century. I’ve experienced racial abuse first hand on many occasions just for being brown, but it shouldn’t even matter what colour you are, we’re all human and we’re all the same.

What happened to George Floyd is heart breaking, I couldn’t believe what I heard and the video I saw that went viral after his death. No one deserves to be treated like that, just because I’m not black doesn’t mean I didn’t feel the pain that all black people felt, I did feel it, and it broke my heart, I’m human. I can’t even imagine what pain his family and friends are going through, and during this bad time, my thoughts and prayers are with them. 🙏🏽

And for another human to be responsible for this?! That really made me sick to my stomach and feel ashamed to be human, it’s disgusting that someone could do that to another person. Justice needs to be served and I’m sure he will definitely get what he deserves.

Always be kind to one another and teach your children to be kind, because they’re the next generation that will continue to behave the way we do.

We all need to rise together and take a stand, yes all our lives matter, but now more than anything in this world right now black lives matter most.
