I left home a week ago in heavy rain and had a mixed - something of an understatement - journey down to where I am now staying just south of Avignon. I started out in temperatures around 16 degrees, and as I journeyed south over three days they steadily climbed to twice that - currently 32 degrees.

It's taken me two or three days to fully recover and properly relax but now I am loving everything about this truly glorious place. In the photo I am wearing a silk shirt from , white trousers from Zara and a rather snazzy pair of very comfortable turquoise suede loafers from .

Falling, physically rather than emotionally, must rank as one of the most worrying aspects of getting older. One minute everything's hunky-dory, next minute you’re lying on the ground wondering how and why the accident happened and also dreading the consequences.

There seems to be a rash of these incidents all around me at the moment. A friend from bridge who is in her early sixties, just broke both her elbows as she tried to save herself in a fall. Lindsay, my personal trainer, tells me that two of her clients have recently sustained falls. Several of our Super Troopers on Facebook have been reporting falls recently which is why I wanted to do some digging about the hows and whys of falling with a view to learning more about prevention.

The warm weather is back in the UK ☀️ 😎 ☀️

Makeup in the heat can be tricky, so here are some tips to help you stay looking fresh even when temperatures soar.

Step One - Always apply SPF50+ Serum before you do anything else. Our serum absorbs easily into the skin leaving no white residue and gives high level protection again UVA & UVB rays
