THE STORY OF ESSIAC TEA 🌿

Essiac Tea isn’t just another herbal blend.

It’s a traditional formula made from Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm Bark and Indian Rhubarb Root, passed down through generations and used as a herbal tonic.

In the 1920s, Canadian nurse René Caisse was given the recipe by a woman who said she had received it from an Ojibwe healer years earlier. René believed so strongly in the blend that she dedicated her life to making it available to people who had run out of options.

The name Essiac is simply Caisse spelled backwards.

For decades, René treated patients and became one of the most controversial figures in natural health. She faced investigations, legal challenges and strong opposition from parts of the medical establishment, yet she continued her work until her death in 1978.

Whether viewed as a remarkable piece of herbal history or one of the most debated remedies ever created, Essiac has remained one of the world’s best-known traditional herbal formulas for over 100 years.

One of my favourite parts of these days isn’t just seeing people discover SUDS for the first time… it’s the conversations.

Talking to parents who are trying to find gentler alternatives for their children. Meeting people who have struggled with eczema, acne, sensitive skin or other long-term skin conditions. Sharing why I became so passionate about creating products that work with your body, not against it.

Every product on my table has been handmade in small batches using pure, traceable ingredients because I truly believe we should know exactly what we’re putting on our skin every single day.

Our skin is our largest organ. It absorbs far more than most of us realise, yet so many everyday products contain ingredients we can’t even pronounce. That never sat right with me.

I’m not here to tell anyone how to live their life. I’m simply here to encourage people to ask questions, read labels, understand ingredients and make informed choices for themselves and their families.

Because when we start questioning what we use every day, that’s when real change begins.
