It’s been a while… but we’re back!!! Black Culture Market ® is back be on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August with a great selection of traders, music, products and culture this Spring season in Brixton.
In a new location: Lambeth Town Hall, Brixton, SW2 1RW. 12pm-5pm (both days).

We’ve had the pleasure of being stocked in over the past few months. It’s been so good to have a local base in Hammersmith where local customers can easily restock on their SKINIRI goodies and commuters can discover something new on their travels.
It’s only been a few days and the window display is definitely helping to bring in more customers.

A few highlights from the last 5 years:
2018-2020: I started out just making skincare for myself after learning about the toxic ingredients in hair & skincare products. I then started sharing my creations with friends and family as gift sets.
2021: SKINIRI made its debut! My dream became real. I always wanted to run my own business but never thought it would be skincare. I was actually working on a stationery range before this. 😆
It all became so real when my first orders went out to complete strangers and they loved them. 💖
2022: We hit the popup scene hard! We literally went everywhere and anywhere to figure out what worked and what didn’t. Some events we only did once but others became regular spots and a new home. Our community started to grow. The word spreads as you tell your friends. ✨
2023: We’re building momentum, new products, new faces, and a growing loyal customer base. Started doing more in store popups and realised that I didn’t need to be there in person to sell my products. Levelled up the product labels and leaflets to make sure customers had all the information they needed to confidently make a purchase.
Got approached to be part of The Missing Thread exhibition gift shop in Somerset House - which was huge! 🙌🏾
2024: We refined, improved, and listened harder to what you wanted from us. Won six awards at the 2024 Natural Health & Beauty Awards. Returned to Somerset House with My Runway Group and took over the shop for one special evening for our first SKINIRI hosted in-store experience. 🎉
2025: Reached further with bigger ambitions and new partnerships. We joined Jamii, was one of the community sponsors of the infamous Guap Gala and ended the year with a 6-week popup at Winter Wonderland with my friend Dear Katiopae & was part of the Treasure Tress Xmas advent calendar 💕
2026: Received a much needed boost to keep going. Won the Hammersmith & Fulham Dragons Den style competition. This win hit different, it’s been such a confidence boost - I know I can grow this to the heights I’ve dreamed of and there’s other people who see my vision and believe in me too. 💖

On Wednesday, SKINIRI won Hammersmith & Fulham’s Dragon Den Style Pitch Competition.
This was a huge accomplishment, not only the fact that SKINIRI won, but the fact that I took a personal leap out of my comfort zone, shared my dreams for my business, the reason I started in the first place and almost cried when I shared the meaning behind the name SKINIRI and link to my late granny.
It was truly one of the best nights of my life because something I created and have been growing slowly but intentionally over the past (almost 5 years) - claimed first prize! With my dearest friends and family in the audience, supporting and cheering me on. The energy in the room was amazing!
I’m so excited for the future of SKINIRI. This £5K is the first step in helping us scale. I have the confidence to push harder and be more audacious with my dreams.
I made some bold statements and I meant every word. SKINIRI is taking on the big brands - delivering more natural goodness in to the health and beauty industry.
A huge thank you to - Ray & Helen, and each of the other amazing businesses!
And a special thank you to two of my best friends who have been on team SKINIRI from day one! . I love what you are both individually building and look forward to us all living our dreams.
