Drum lampshade recover
This client wanted her pendant shade recovering in Romo fabric to match her curtains. Frame reused with new backing and customer own fabric.
Great way of updating what you already have and using up off-cuts of curtain fabric ♻️

Lampshade Recover
This recover ended up being a brand new shade. Once I took apart the original shade, it became apparent I would not be able to use the same frame- the vertical elements/arms would be visible when the light was on.
The size was perfect for this client so I made up the new shade to match it in size and shape. Using customers own fabric 🌟

Hannah chose a massive 70cm diameter shade in a beautiful soft grey wool for the central pendant shade, we talked about a new light fitting and snazzy new bulb, becoming a feature of the light. Love this look with that beautiful ceiling rose 🌹the clear pvc backing creates warmth from every angle.
Another gorgeous fabric shade for the standard lamp in Kruger eggshell, works perfectly with the colour scheme. Plus lots of fabric left over to make cushions from
Thick 100% grey wool & fabric both chosen and bought from 🖤
Hope you love your new shades guys. I certainly enjoyed creating these beauties for your lovely home 🖤

3 x Recovered coolie lampshades
These shades were quite tricky, large and time consuming so I’ve been a little bit chuffed with my handiwork.
Firstly the originals were dismantled to get the templates for new pvc backing.
The smaller one broke into little pieces so quite a bit of sellotape and guesswork were involved 😵💫 and this shape was a challenge, could’ve done with 2 extra hands arms and eyeballs.
Katya in Matlock chose Rousseau and Kruger designs in cotton satin fabric. It was the first time I’ve covered with this fabric, I was really impressed by the quality and finish for lampshades. Trust me it’s good stuff.
I had a lorra fun choosing the positioning of the prints for the shades 🦓🦋🖤🦒🦜
Check Emma Shipley out there are some amazing designs and really reasonable for designer fabrics. Which is your favourite? I’m struggling to decide!
If you’re near Matlock Bath, have her sample book I do believe 👏

Lampshade Recover
Amy sent her lovely vintage shade to me to bring back to life with some natural linen I had stock of.
We discussed options for fabric and trim over DMs and she sent the shade over. She decided to go for a simple look without trim, not taking away the beauty of that fab vintage base 💙💚🤍
Her shade was posted and collected in person, but it did make me realise how easy it is do the whole process via post if need be. 📦

I made a huge lampshade tower for in Belper, Derbyshire and they’re finally open to sell them! 🤩🤩
A green tweed wool, natural linen, red and beige check, and forest green/red check. Neil chose a beautiful collection of fabrics for the Scandinavian feel of the shop.
There’s something really comforting about the glow through a woollen or linen covered lampshade. Seeing the light through the weave is just a really smashing thing for the eyeballs. All shades made with a clear backing to enhance that hygge vibe 🪵🔥🌲🍄🌻
Neil’s shop is packed full of gorgeous Scandi gems. I dare you to walk in and not find something you love 🌲

Vintage Lampshade Recover
Huge lampshade for a vintage standard lamp owned by Teresa
Recovers involve dismantling the original shade to rebuild with the new fabric & pvc backing, so they’re a bit more time consuming.
A careful & delicate approach is required. I’ve not had a disaster yet (touching wood now 🙄🪵) where the frame has fallen to pieces, but I always make sure it feels pretty sturdy before I attempt it and advise if I think the pulling apart process could break it.
Gorgeous fabric ‘into the woods’ by Makower.
I really enjoy transforming lampshades, giving them a new lease of life. Felt a real sense of achievement with this one! 🤩
