A certificate and 12 months in the industry doesn’t replace years of hands-on experience, complications managed, difficult cases seen, anatomy understood and knowledge built.

When you become a trainer, you’re not just responsible for the person sitting in your classroom — your knowledge gets passed on to every client they go on to treat.

This isn’t about medic vs non-medic.
It’s about experience vs ego.

There are incredible practitioners on both sides.

But setting up an academy because you’ve had a good first year in aesthetics? That’s where I think our industry needs to do better.

Experience cannot be fast-tracked.

I left school with no GCSEs.

No qualifications.
Nothing impressive written on a piece of paper.
And if you’d looked at my results back then, you probably wouldn’t have predicted much for my future.
