💈 B O T T L E D I T! 💈
Today I did it! The box dye had to be done! I was in two minds whether to just let it go (au natural) but it just makes me feel so down having the greys showing through. It was a painful hour, dye everywhere including the bathroom wall! But all-in-all it kind of did the job and covered the worst.....and it's given me a much-needed lift! 👏🏽
I also got to try my new hairdryer! I did quite a bit of research as drying my hair is not for the fainthearted ( will tell you!) and top of the list was something lightweight and powerful. I went for the Parlix385 light and so far so good, very impressed and my arm held out!
The other new acquisition is the beautiful hair wrap from Tropic. This was part of a little incentive I achieved last year and I love it! I have a couple of these hair wraps by a company called and they're a brilliant invention - again lightweight, don't come undone and take so much moisture out of your hair 🙌
I then washed all the nasty hair dye chemicals out using our haircare range. Less is more for my hair as I find too much product causes build up very quickly. Overall very pleased with the results and hair feels revitalised and shiny again
I've popped details of our haircare range below and highly recommend trying the discovery kit first, that way you can establish which products work best on your hair type.
Shout if you’d like any help

W A L K I N G. . . . .
again! Out three times today, well it was a stunning day. One of the few blessings that come with owning dogs and indeed all this hideousness has been the frequency of walkies. Whatever the weather I’ve turned out. It’s been my therapy, my time to have an inward scream, the occasional sob but I’m pleased to report more often than not it’s done the simple job of refreshing, resetting and putting everything back into perspective
Keep walking everyone 🤗

No, I’ve not gone completely insane and yes that is dog treats in empty Body Smooth jars! Truth be known I use them for lots of things around the house!
Did you know? Last year we recycled over 188 tonnes of waste at Tropic HQ ♻️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our mission has always been to help create a healthier, greener, more empowered world 🌍 Recycling what we can, as well as being mindful of what we buy, are just some of the small steps we can all take towards this goal.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are just a few of the steps we've made towards being kinder to our planet:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
♻️ Our Signature Hand Wash and Luxury Bath Foam are available in a 100% recyclable refill pouch to top up your existing bottle. Each pouch contains enough to refill your bottle twice and once you return five empty pouches to us you'll receive your next for FREE!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
♻️ When you run out of your favourite serum or oil, hold onto your pipette (which isn't widely recyclable) and buy a refill bottle instead. These bottles contain the exact same amount of product but come with recyclable aluminium caps instead of a pipette.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
♻️ Empty Sun Stick? You can return the empty packaging for this and any of our other sun care products to our HQ. Return any five sun care empties and we’ll not only recycle them for you but also send you a free 15ml Sun Day (worth £10) as a thank you 🙌
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
♻️ Our Colour Palette has so far helped stop 6 tonnes of plastic going to waste thanks to its innovative refillable design. From eye shadow to lipstick and everything in between, you can get creative with beautiful makeup products, whilst being kinder to the planet!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And don't forget, recycling can also mean repurposing. Why not use that empty Body Smooth jar as a container for your dog treats or maybe homemade jams or sauces? Empty face mask pots make great planters and old Vitamin Toner bottles can be filled with water to spritz your house plants. Tell me below what you repurpose💚🌏♻️🧡

🌍WORLD REEF DAY🌍
I wanted to share something with you, that I think may bring a smile to your face 🌊
You may have heard that we recently launched a new sun care range, and are very proud to say that every sun protection product is certified by Protect Land + Sea, meaning they are not only kinder to your skin, but also to the delicate ocean ecosystems too
To celebrate this launch and introduce it to some of our friends in the beauty industry, Tropic held its very first virtual press event on Zoom last month!
And as part of this launch event, we wanted to give something back to both the people who joined our event, as well as the planet, so we sponsored the planting of baby coral as part of a project in Northern Bali through the 🙌
Ingredients found in traditional sunscreen formulas have contributed towards many corals bleached and destroyed, so we hope that this small step will help make a big difference over time
70 adopted coral (one for every person who attended our press event) will be planted onto ‘artificial reefs’ in Les Village, Bali by local fishers, who embrace protecting ecological biodiversity
The helps communities and marine ornamental fishers to restore reefs using artificial reef structures. The focus of this coral restoration project is to restore fish populations and enhance habitats while giving local fishers a reliable source of income building the reefs
It also provides an alternative source of income for fishers, allowing them to make and deploy the artificial substrates, build coral tables, and prepare coral plugs
Thank you for helping us to drive positive change 🧡

A simple eye test, something most of us take for granted. Here’s a beautiful update from on how your Tropic purchases are benefiting others 🧡
・・・
This is Timmy ❤️
We met when we were visiting a remote village in Cambodia back in Feb. We’d just opened our first school and and I were scoping out other villages to build our next school with United World Schools.
When chatting to some of the children, I noticed that one of the boys seemed to be squinting, and when we asked him what was wrong, he said that he had trouble seeing clearly.
These kids didn’t have access to running water, education, hospital, or even electricity. So of course, going to an opticians was completely out of the question. He didn’t even know there was such a thing.
I felt so emotional that getting his eyes tested seemed so far fetched for him and his family. Such simple things we take for granted. I’d been extremely short sighted for as long as I can remember and was lucky enough to have laser eye surgery to correct my vision 13 years ago. How was Timmy to have an education if he couldn’t see the blackboard?
Before we left, I promised Timmy’s mum that I was going to help him see properly, and I remember her tearing up with happiness.
3 months later, I just got the news from UWS that Timmy’s village is getting a school!! And that Timmy and his two friends were transferred to Banlung city to get their eyes tested!
The most amazing news for Timmy and his community!
Life is all about perspective, and today I am so grateful to for continuing to look after underprivileged children during these unprecedented times. I’m grateful to our Ambassadors and customers that make our donations to UWS possible - who need us now more than ever. I’m grateful that Carlton and I had the opportunity to help little Timmy and his mates. And I’m grateful for being able to see clearly, which enables me to do all the things that I love.
I hope this post brightens your day 🧡
