They need repetition. Sessions completed. Tough days handled. Training blocks stacked together. Evidence that your body can do hard things.
This is why injury knocks your confidence so much. Not because runners are ‘soft’, but because the proof you were getting through all of these things has suddenly stopped.
Getting your confidence back doesn’t come easily, you need a return to running structure that was made for YOU, not anyone else.

After 3 amazing years, I’ve finished my Physiotherapy degree 🥳 What an amazing feeling. So much hard work has gone into this, and I’m so proud to be finished. Now it’s time to build into a top class Physiotherapy clinic, once my registration comes through 🥰

The 5 biggest mistakes runners make when returning after injury.
These are the most common reasons I see that runners fall back into injury because of. There’s one answer to all of these problems, and that’s a good solid rehab plan.

Being injured as a runner SUCKS. You’re not ‘just injured’, you’ve temporarily lost a part of yourself. People tell you to give up and ‘relax’ because they don’t get how important it is to you that you get better and get running again - I’ve heard it a hundred times.
You need proper structure, from someone who understands what you’re going through. That’s where I come in.

Not being able to run sucks. Everyone was telling me ‘Oh looks like you’re out for the season then.. I decided that wasn’t going to happen.
I created the Runners-Return system for myself. To get me from having torn the ligaments on the outside of my ankle, back to top form in 12-weeks.
