Never had a massage before?
You’re not alone many of my clients book their first massage feeling a little nervous because they don’t know what to expect.
When you arrive at The Healing Rose, we’ll start with a short consultation to discuss any areas of tension, pain, injuries, or specific concerns you may have.
Your treatment will then be tailored to your needs, whether you’re looking to relieve stress, ease muscle tension, improve relaxation, or simply take some time for yourself.
You will remain covered with towels throughout the treatment, with only the area being worked on exposed, ensuring you feel comfortable and relaxed at all times.
After your massage, I’ll provide aftercare advice to help you get the most from your treatment.
My treatment room is a calm, welcoming space where you can switch off from the outside world and focus on your wellbeing.

✨ What to Expect at The Healing Rose ✨
From the moment you arrive, my intention is to help you slow down, feel safe, and completely unwind.
Arrival
You’ll be welcomed into a calm, quiet space with soft lighting, gentle scents, and a peaceful atmosphere. We’ll have a quick chat about how you’re feeling, any areas of tension, and what you’d like from your treatment.
Getting Settled
You’ll be shown to your treatment room and given privacy to get comfortable on the bed. You can undress to your level of comfort, and you’ll be fully covered with towels at all times.
Your Massage
Your treatment will be tailored to you, whether you need deep tension relief or something more relaxing and soothing.
Using slow, flowing movements, I’ll work through areas of stress, helping your body to release and your mind to switch off.
This is your time to breathe, to rest, and to let go.
After Your Treatment
Once your massage is finished, you’ll have a few quiet moments to come back around slowly. There’s no rush at all.
We’ll have a quick check-in, and I may offer simple aftercare advice if needed like drinking plenty of water or taking it easy for the rest of the day.

What to wear to your massage at The Healing Rose ..
I get asked this a lot, so here’s a little guide to help you feel completely comfortable before your appointment…
Wear something loose, soft, and easy to change in and out of. Think cosy joggers, a comfy top, or anything that doesn’t feel restrictive. You’ll want to leave feeling relaxed not squeezing back into tight clothing. I don’t even mind if you come in your pyjamas.
During your treatment, you’ll always be professionally draped with towels, and only the area being worked on will be exposed. You can undress to whatever level you feel comfortable with there’s absolutely no pressure.
If you’re coming straight from work or a busy day, don’t worry at all. Just come as you are
The most important thing? Your comfort. This is your time to switch off, relax, and be looked after. If you’re ever unsure, just message me I’m always happy to help.

Tension is the body’s natural response to physical, emotional, or psychological stress. When we experience ongoing stress, the nervous system stays in a heightened state, causing muscles to tighten as a protective mechanism.
