Grey hair… the one appointment people panic-book over 🫣
But lately I’ve been having a lot more real conversations in my chair about it… and honestly — going grey isn’t a bad thing.
Every silver strand is time.
Time we were never promised.
Laugh lines, late nights, kids, stress, happiness, surviving hard years and celebrating good ones… it all leaves a little sparkle behind.
Grey hair isn’t you “getting old” — it’s you getting to live.
I see so many women apologising for their roots coming through, like it’s something to hide. But actually, it’s a reminder how lucky we are to have reached an age where our hair changes with us. Not everyone gets that privilege.
You don’t have to cover it.
You don’t have to embrace it.
You just have to choose what makes you feel like yourself — that’s my job, to help you feel confident whether we’re blending, brightening, softening or going fully silver.
Hair has no rules, and grey definitely isn’t the enemy 🤍
After a LOT of thinking (and listening to my body 😅) I’ve made the decision to reduce my hours a little.
I’ll be picking up Tuesdays again and still working every Saturday, but after 27 years of hairdressing the 12–13 hour days and late nights have started to take a toll on my shoulder and my home life.
I’m also starting my trichology course in September, so I’ll need extra time outside of work for studying as well.
From the end of March I won’t be offering late night appointments anymore except for Xmas time.
💛 If you already have a late appointment booked — please don’t worry, your appointment is absolutely still going ahead.
Going forward, if you usually rely on a late night, please try to:
• book ahead for Saturdays
• or, if possible, take a couple of hours off work
This really wasn’t an easy decision, but I want to be able to keep doing the job I love properly, and also bring you more knowledge and help with your hair and scalp health in the future.

My annual Christmas Eve photo…
although I cheated Christmas this year and finished last Saturday — and honestly, I haven’t regretted it for a second 😂
I just want to say the biggest thank you to every single one of my incredible clients. You’ve made this Christmas season not just bearable, but genuinely joyful — full of laughs, chats, and that feeling of being surrounded by my people.
Your continued support of my little business never goes unnoticed and never stops meaning the world to me. I’m so grateful for every appointment, every conversation, and every bit of trust you place in us.

A very Merry Christmas everyone! We’ll be working like "Santa’s little Elves" next week, right up until the 24th Dec, doing our very best to get as much completed as possible before we finish for the year!
We’re incredibly grateful to be so busy in the run-up to Christmas and truly appreciate every single booking, recommendation, and bit of support we've had in 2025.
We would also like to sincerely apologise to the clients whose tile installations we haven’t been able to complete before Christmas and appreciate their understanding.
Unfortunately, with such a busy schedule, we haven’t been able to finish everyone in time — but please be assured, we’ll be back and making your tiling projects our priority in 2026.

We’re now taking bookings for March 2026, so if you’re thinking about, how you can bring your tiling project to life in the New Year , now is the perfect time to start planning your installation!

Winter hair care ❄️✨
Let’s talk about those pesky little broken bits around your hairline at the back! Winter is the season they LOVE to appear, and here’s why:
🩶 Hoodies = friction central
All that cosy fleece rubbing on your nape creates tiny breakages you don’t notice… until you do.
🧣 Scarves are sneaky too
Soft? Yes. Gentle? Not always. Constant rubbing = weakened, frayed strands.
🔗 Necklace clasps
They catch your hair, twist it, wrap it… then snap. Pop your hair up or keep an eye on those chains!
🧢 Beanie hats
If they aren’t washed often, they trap oils and bacteria — which can cause breakage and irritation. Give them a regular wash to keep both your scalp and hair happy.
✨ Winter Tip:
Silk-lined hoods, satin scrunchies, and wearing your hair in low-protective styles can save you SO much heartache (and hair!).
