PRICE UPDATE

From 29th October 2026, there will be a £5 increase to my current treatment prices for both equine and canine clients:

- Initial consultation & treatment: £55

- Follow up & maintenance: £50

- Bespoke Exercise Rehabilitation & Performance Plans (6/8/12 wk): + £15

I have not increased my prices since starting my original business, and a lot has changed since then. I have now graduated as a Veterinary Physiotherapist, expanded the modalities I offer and continued to invest in my training and CPD.

This increase will help cover rising fuel costs, ongoing CPD and additional training, as well as allowing me to incorporate kinesiology taping into treatments where appropriate without adding an extra charge.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Fun day at East Bysshe Equestrian offering free physiotherapy consultations for competitors! 🏅

I got to chat with to lots of lovely new people about their horses, educated on the benefits of physiotherapy, what equipment I have in my toolkit, assessed horses, discussed findings and booked in future physiotherapy treatments.

Thank you Robyn Kite for having me!

I’m excited to finally announce that I have officially graduated with First Class Honours in Veterinary Physiotherapy! 🎓

After years of studying alongside running my own business, I can finally take the next step and offer my services as a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist.

This means it’s time to say goodbye to Champion Equine Therapy and officially welcome Champion Veterinary Physiotherapy! 🏆

The business is currently undergoing a complete revamp with a new logo, branding, website, services etc… so please bear with me! I am also excited to start producing more owner based education content online so keep an eye peeled… 👀

I want to say a huge thank you to every single one of my past and current clients. Balancing a self-employed business alongside full time university wasn’t easy, but working with your animals throughout my studies gave me invaluable real-world experience.

I’m still working with my regular clients and am now welcoming new clients under Champion Veterinary Physiotherapy.

Here’s to an exciting new chapter! 🥂

Caudal pelvic tilts ⚖️

A simple exercise I often leave owners with to continue between physiotherapy sessions.

Benefits can include:

• Improving mobility through the lumbosacral region

• Engagement of the abdominal muscles

• Encouraging lift through the thoracolumbar region

• Improving activation, coordination and endurance of the muscles involved in pelvic stability

Online I have seen the use of hoof picks or other pointed objects to trigger this reflex. Whilst this can elicit a quick and exaggerated pelvic tilt, it’s not exactly the response we’re aiming for. The goal is a slow, controlled rotation of the pelvis that the horse can comfortably hold. Ideally, I’d like to see the position maintained for up to 10–15 seconds, although many horses need to build up to this. Starting with 3–5 seconds is absolutely fine.

Some horses find this movement more difficult than others, which may reflect factors such as stiffness, weakness, discomfort or reduced body awareness.

To perform the exercise, I usually recommend gently scratching either side of the tail (just below the top of the dock). For most horses, your fingers alone are more than enough to encourage the movement reflex.

Remember, we’re not looking for the biggest reaction possible. A small, controlled pelvic tuck held for a few seconds is far more beneficial than a dramatic response that’s over in an instant.

*Don’t mind my terrible recording, next time I will try to get myself in the frame 🙈

✨ 2026 Updates ✨

Wishing all my lovely clients a happy New Year. I wanted to share a few updates and plans for what’s coming up at Champion Equine Therapy in 2026.

Firstly, thank you so much to every single client who has supported me since starting the business last year. Champion Equine Therapy has grown more than I ever imagined when I first began, and I’m incredibly grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me. As the business continues to grow, I’m excited to welcome even more horses and owners along the way. The past year has been busy (to say the least!) juggling the final stages of my BSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy alongside building a business. It has been challenging at times, but so rewarding!

❗️ Important pricing update ❗️

From 2026, my group discount for 2+ horses will be coming to an end. My original pricing will remain:

• £50 – Initial appointment
• £45 – Follow-up appointment

As much as I’ve loved being able to offer discounted rates, increasing demand, rising business costs, and reduced availability due to final-year exam preparation mean my pricing will now revert to how it was previously. This change will also allow me to continue investing in further training and expanding the services and therapies I can offer to best support your horse’s rehabilitation and performance.

✨ Looking ahead to 2026… ✨
This year holds some really exciting developments for Champion Equine Therapy. Planned highlights include:

• Graduating as a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist
• Completing my dissertation research using gait analysis (which I hope to integrate into my future assessments)
• Launching the official Champion Equine Therapy website
• Training in new therapeutic techniques
• Adding additional modalities to my current toolkit
• Developing clear, easy-to-follow exercise prescription video resources for clients to follow in between sessions.

2026 is set to be a big year for Champion Equine Therapy, and I’m looking forward to continuing to develop the business while providing the highest standard of care for your horses. Thank you for your ongoing support, more updates coming soon..

Group Offer 🏆 Get your yard together for a group treatment this summer

£35 per horse for a 1 hour session when groups of 2-6 horses at the same yard book a group session together!

These group sessions have been popular lately, book in before the limited slots available in end of July and August go! ☀️

Offering discounted group sessions is a great way for new clients to experience my work firsthand. As a former horse owner, I understand how daunting it can be to trust someone new with your horse, especially when you're not sure what level of service they provide. With these group sessions, your horse will receive the same thorough assessment, personalised treatment, and detailed post-treatment report, along with exercise recommendations, just at a reduced group price.
