Windmill Farm Caravan Park
A small, quiet adults only campsite in the heart of Lincolnshire - Baston Fen. Open March to 31 Oct
Welcome to Windmill Farm Caravan Park (Now Adult Only)
Windmill Farm Caravan Park is situated in the heart of rural Lincolnshire. The unspoilt sanctuary provides a release from everyday stresses, perfect for UK caravan holidays. The site is located at the entrance to Baston Fen Nature Reserve and the MacMillan Walk, opening the door on Lincolnshire's beauty. Visitors may also find our site convenient as a centre-point to visit local towns of interest including Stamford, Rutland, Spalding, Peterborough and Bourne. The site currently offers 26 level pitches, some hard standing, with electric hook-up for 24 of those pitches. Water, waste and chemical disposal points are provided with additional water supplied on each EHU station. We have a male and female toilet and shower block, with outdoor washing-up facilities. If you are interested in fishing, the River Glen and Counter Drain bisect the farm and are within easy walking distance. The site also has a private fishing pond within 20 metres of the pitches. The site offers excellent security, with entrance and exit through an electric security barrier, operated by entering a security code. The site is completely free draining and not prone to standing water. Well behaved dogs are accepted and the farm offers miles of private traffic free walks.

And when the evenings draw in, thereโs something rather nice about getting cosy back in the caravan or motorhome after a day out exploring.

๐โจ What a beautiful way to end a stay at Windmill Farm!
We received this stunning photograph from our lovely returning guests Andrew and Sue Fletcher, along with this message:
โTo all the Ward family,
Thank you for yet another lovely stay at your farm. Once again we had a wonderful time, ending with a stunning view of the Harvest Moon over what must be one of the most attractive utility blocks on any campsite!
Until next timeโฆ.
Very best regards,
Andrew and Sue Fletcherโ
We have to admit, weโve never thought of our utility block as particularly photogenic before! ๐ But under that beautiful moon and sky, we think Andrew and Sue may have a point.
Thank you both for the fantastic photo, your very kind words and, most importantly, for choosing to come back and stay with us again. โค๏ธ
It means such a lot to us as a small family-run park when guests return time after time.
Until next time, Andrew and Sue! ๐ฟ๐๐

๐ธ๐ฆ Spotted at Windmill Farm โ more fantastic guest photography!
A big thank you to one of our regular customers, Barry Shaw, for sharing these brilliant photographs taken during his time at Windmill Farm.
Barry managed to capture some wonderful shots, including these beautiful robins โ and we especially love the action shot of one singing from the branch! โค๏ธ
He also caught this fantastic little bird in flight, which appears to be a Common Redstart โ not an easy photograph to get! I hope I have identified this one right - let me know if not!
Thank you, Barry, for letting us share your photographs โ and for continuing to capture the wildlife around Windmill Farm so beautifully. ๐ท๐ฟ
โค๏ธ YOU SPOKEโฆ WE LISTENED! Thank you! โค๏ธ
A little while ago we asked for your help in telling us where you actually look when choosing a caravan or motorhome site โ thank you so much for all those of you that took the time to reply.
The results were really interesting!

โฆwere mentioned again and again, along with recommendations from friends and other online sources.
What was particularly interesting was how few people now find sites through printed magazines and directories. Only a couple of you said you had originally found us that way โ and those were some years ago.
So, thanks to your feedback, weโve made a decision.
Weโre going to spend less of our budget on traditional advertising and concentrate more on the places youโve told us you actually use.
And the best bit? โค๏ธ
The money we save can be put back into Windmill Farm Caravan Park and used towards further improvements to the site for our guests.
๐๏ธ CAN YOU HELP US? Weโd love to pick your brains! โค๏ธ
Weโre looking at where we advertise Windmill Farm Caravan Park for next season, and rather than spending money advertising in places that people donโt actually use, we thought weโd ask the people who know best โ you!
When youโre looking for a caravan or motorhome site, where do you normally look?
It might be:
๐ Caravan & Motorhome Club magazine/directory
๐ Camping & Caravanning Club magazine/directory
๐ UKCampsite
๐ Park4Night
๐ฑ Facebook groups
๐ Google / Google Maps
๐ Search for Sites
๐ฃ๏ธ Recommendations from friends or family
๐ Somewhere youโve stayed before
๐ Another magazine or printed directory
๐ Another website or app
Please pop your answer in the comments โ and if weโve missed the one you use, please tell us what it is!
Weโd especially love to know whether you still use printed caravan magazines and directories, or whether you now find most of your sites online.
โค๏ธ And one extra questionโฆ
If youโve stayed with us at Windmill Farm before, how did you originally find us? Was it Google, Facebook, a website or app, a magazine, a club directory, a recommendation from someone โ or something else?
If you havenโt stayed with us, weโd still really love to hear where you normally look when choosing somewhere to stay.
Every answer will genuinely help our small, family-run park decide where our advertising budget is best spent, so thank you very much for helping us. โค๏ธ

๐พ๐ Harvest may be finishedโฆ but the farming year certainly isnโt!
The last of this yearโs crops have been safely gathered in at Windmill Farm, but almost as soon as the combine is put away, attention turns to next yearโs harvest.
The tractors are back out in the fields, preparing the ground ready for the crops that will be planted for the year ahead. ๐
Itโs one of the things we love about being both a working family farm and a caravan park. Guests staying with us get to see the countryside changing through the seasons!
So if youโre staying with us and spot tractors working in the fields, this is what weโre up to! ๐ฑ
Harvest 2026 complete โ
Preparing for Harvest 2027โฆ already underway!
And then the cycle begins all over again. โค๏ธ

๐ฟ๐ฆ Wildlife spotted at Windmill Farm ๐ฆ
A huge thank you to our guest Heather Craven for sharing these wonderful photographs taken during her stay with us at Windmill Farm Caravan Park.
Heather had some fantastic sightings, including a beautiful Barn Owl, Red Kite, Reed Bunting and Garden Warbler. ๐ธ
One of the things we love most about our little corner of Lincolnshire is the wildlife that shares it with us. With the farmland, hedgerows and waterways around the park โ and Baston Fen Nature Reserve just a short walk away โ you never quite know what you might spot while you're here.๐ฆโค๏ธ
Thank you again, Heather, for allowing us to share your photographs. We always love seeing Windmill Farm through the eyes (and camera lenses!) of our guests.
