The Peterborough q***r community is small enough as it is, let alone the drag community here.

The fact that some will go out of their ways to publicly humiliate and air out dirty laundry in front of other to me is insane.

At the end of the day, regardless of the s**t you’re going through - you don’t bring it to the stage. Un-called for. Unprofessional. Quite frankly it’s childish.

We are all GROWN ASS ADULTS. If you have an issue with someone or if they have hurt your feelings, you deal with it - with that person in a proper way. Not publicly.

We, as drag artists, are seen as figure heads within the community. Someone who can be relied on for support - someone who will shout for our people when they need it the most, and this is how we choose to use our platforms? Heads should be hung in shame. This is such a poor example to be setting.

Accountability is important - and if you can’t admit when you’re in the wrong, and continue to add fuel to fires, then I’m sorry but you’re in the wrong by my books.

And to anyone reading this that is sitting on the fence, please ask yourself why? If you can see sh*t behaviour is happening in front of you and you choose to stay silent, choose to gossip and theorise - you are just as bad.

At the end of the day - drag is about fun! Self expression! Entertainment! If you’re in it to publicly embarass others for something that was said behind closed doors - you’re in the wrong profession. Let’s not forget why we do the jobs we do.
