This set definitely tested my brain! 😂

The checkerboard design was one of those moments where what my client had pictured in her head wasn’t quite translating onto the nail, and between trying to understand exactly what she wanted and my brain processing all the different ideas… we had a few “no, not quite!” moments! 😂

But we kept communicating, made little changes and eventually got there! 🙌

And honestly, this is why I love doing nails — not every set goes perfectly to plan, but finding a way to bring my client’s vision to life is so rewarding. 🥰

This was one of the very first sets I created 3 years ago, just 3 months after qualifying. At the time, I was so proud because it was a set I'd done outside of college, but I also knew I had so much more to learn.

I spent countless hours practising on myself and anyone who would let me, watching tutorials, learning new techniques, and asking other nail techs for advice. Not every tip helped, but every bit of practice made me better.

Fast forward 3 years, and I'm so proud of how far I've come. There were moments I wanted to give up, but I kept going, kept learning, and kept believing in myself.

Today, I'm creating detailed nail art that I once thought I'd never be able to do. I've also expanded into lashes and brows, with even more training planned for the future. 🥹

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that progress doesn't happen overnight. Keep practising, keep believing, and never stop learning. One day you'll look back and realise just how far you've come. 💕
