FEEL THE FEAR & DO IT ANYWAY šŖš½
Youāre readyšš½
Hereās something I bet youāve never heard before
If you can push yourself in the gym, or find the motivation to finish your next set even though your legs are burning
Then you can 10000% achieve a hands off, unmedicated birth
Period.
You have the capacity within you to train your brain to keep going, to feel uncomfortable or in pain, or nervous to try a new exercise, and to bloody well do it anyway
So why should birth be any different?
No more āIām too scared of the pain I canāt do itā
Letās do the work together to figure out the key you need to unlock whatās already in there
āI canāt do thisā to āI have GOT THISā
DM me and letās chat babes ā„ļø you are READY!
In 2023 my world was completely rocked when at 26 weeks pregnant I developed severe preeclampsia and my son was born via unplanned cesarean. 4 months later, despite the best care possible, he died.
Iām not sharing this with you to scare you, Iām sharing it with you because it completely shifted my perspective about life and death, especially when it comes to birth, and itāll change yourās too.
When I started preparing for labour with my daughter in 2024, I believed even more in the power of physiological birth.
I reflected on my first birth, and my brush with my own mortality, as well as losing my son, the light bulb suddenly pinged that death comes for us all when itās our time.
Crazy right.
I could do everything ārightā and the worst could still happen. For me, it already had. I accepted the necessary intervention (and would do again, it was life saving in that scenario) and he still died.
Learning, recalibrating, shifting. Really looking introspectively about what was important to me for my birth, taking death completely out of the equation.
Accepting interventions that arenāt evidence based, and where the risks and benefits didnāt align, to slightly lessen my risk of something that could absolutely happen anyway wasnāt the move.
So now I have a question for you: how many of your plans for your birth are centred around death?
āMy birth plan is to not die and have a glass of fizzā
āAll I want is for me and baby to make it home from the hospital, nothing else mattersā
Sound familiar?
Letās reframe that. Sit together over a cuppa and do the inner work, unpacking WHY you feel that way, and connect to the way forward.
No more making decisions based in fear. You deserve to feel the trust and confidence to make decisions from a place of knowledge and strength.
Comment IāM READY to organise a quick getting to know you call ā„ļø

PAIN ā suffering boo
I saw a Thread that pretty much said every woman should have an epidural and having to feel any pain in labour is a product of the patriarchy like WHAT š«Ø
the patriarchy defo has a LOT to answer for when it comes to the over medicalisation of birth and the Grand Canyon distance between our conscious perception of birth and our innate knowledge built into our damn bones
But feeling pain in childbirth, thatās not a product of the patriarchy, thatās your body working EXACTLY how it needs to to birth your baby
If this is you right now ā> š¤

Labour pain isnāt like broken leg pain, labour pain is like phew Iāve done 20 squats and my legs are burning but Iām going to do 20 more
Itās pain with PURPOSE, literally your muscles contracting to move babe down and out
And your body knows it
Itās perfectly designed, pain AND pleasure, to work in harmony
It hurts yes maāam it does, but it can also feel incredible, powerful, even or****ic
Thatās why your birth prep is so important!!! Understanding the pain, how it works, why youāre feeling it 100%, BUT ALSO, sit with the idea of being okay to feel pain. Being uncomfortable knowing the feeling wonāt last forever.
If your only āproā to getting an epidural is not feeling pain, unpack that.
Even better, unpack it WITH ME. that moment of realisation, that AHA moment where you realise the pain can work FOR you not AGAINST you ahhh itās just the best

What am I passionate about? Well thatās easy
Iām passionate about spreading the good word that everyone deserves to walk into their birth feeling confident, and away from it feeling overjoyed and empowered š„
Iām constantly blown away by the raw power of birth, and Iāve always been drawn to birth work. Itās come back to me time and time again in different forms, but each time it was quite the right fit.
Preparing to birth my daughter hit different though, I was researching more in depth than Iād ever gone before, and I could hear the voice getting louder. DO IT.
Soul searching and conversations with friends first planted the seed in my head that maybe this passion I have for birth could be translated into something that could serve more women than just myself, and Devon Birth Co was born.
I supported two incredible women in the lead up to their births, going over evidence and planning and connecting with their sense of self trust, and all of a sudden, Iād found the right fit. The birth work I was called to do.
I donāt want to teach stuffy antenatal bull, and I most definitely wonāt lie to you that breathing and a wave comb with completely take away labour pain.
Holding space for you to connect to your self, and figuring out the key to unlock the knowledge your body already holds. Evidence based, confidence boosting, self trusting, best foot forward. Just raw, honest, birth prep.
Letās do it together babes ā„ļø
hereās the honest truth, straight from me to you
1. Saying yes out of fear and saying no out of fear are two horns on the same goat š ājust say noā isnāt the one
2. Feel the fear and bloody do it anyway!! Trying in vain to eliminate all fear isnāt realistic, weāre human and humans feel fear sometimes itās what keeps us safe. Your birth prep should be focused not on eliminating all fear, but strengthening your connection to self and trusting your gut to know youāre safe
3. Birth is HARD and you WILL feel pain yes maāam, but itās pain with purpose not suffering, shifting your mindset is the first step to making that pain feel manageable and like a tool just like the wave comb youāre clutching
You: Frankie Iām so ready to jump in and take control of my birth experience!!
Music to my ears, letās chat ā„ļø
