Wondering when it’s time to get your lips topped up with filler? Most lip fillers last around 6-12 months, sometimes even much longer, this can vary based on your metabolism, lifestyle, and the type of filler used. Many people schedule touch-ups every 9 months to maintain their ideal look, though it’s best to consult with your practitioner to decide what’s right for you.

When you do go in for a touch-up, expect a quick, comfortable session where your practitioner will assess your lips and use just enough product to keep them looking balanced and natural. However, timing matters! Too frequent top-ups can lead to overfilling, so waiting at least 6 months between appointments is typically recommended.

Signs it’s time for a top-up include noticing a loss in volume or definition or simply missing that full, fresh look. If you’re unsure, book a consultation to get professional advice.

For longer-lasting results, maintain your look by staying hydrated, avoiding excessive sun exposure, and going easy on caffeine and alcohol, which can dehydrate your skin and speed up filler breakdown. With a little maintenance and the right timing, your lips can stay looking gorgeous year-round!
