Unpopular opinion... ☀️
A few months ago everyone was moaning it was too cold, too wet, too windy and asking where summer was.
Now we've finally got some sunshine and suddenly it's too hot. 🤦♀️
I've even seen schools closing because of the heat, which means thousands of parents are left trying to work out childcare at the last minute, take time off work, rearrange meetings, lose income or somehow juggle everything around including myself.
As a business owner and mum of two, I know how stressful last-minute changes can be.
Of course we need to keep children safe, hydrated and protected from the sun, but children have played outside in warm weather for generations. There are plenty of ways schools can adapt without causing disruption for families.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I think we should be making the most of the sunshine while it's here. Before we know it, we'll be back to rain, grey skies and everyone wishing summer would return! 😂☔
