Today, I get to celebrate my first year, alcohol free!
I actually did it, I managed a year! Which I’m totally buzzed and proud about. And it’s the best decision I’ve made for me so far!
I was so scared about telling people that I didn’t drink anymore because I was worried people would think I’m boring, I even debating saying I was pregnant, just so I didn’t have to deal with answering the question! Ridiculous I know. That would have just snowballed 🙄 but I did it for my mental health. I could not bare the thought of waking up with a hangover, or relying on it to chill me out or seem fun and a joke to everyone. I was consumed by anxiety and I couldn’t take it anymore. I would one million percent recommend anyone trying it, and breaking the stigma that it’s boring without alcohol, because, in my opinion it’s bloody boring being in the same situation every weekend monging and wasting your life, time calories and money. Totally your choice. But make it worth your while.
