Lap 14 vs Lap 1 😀➡️💀🐊
Ultra in crocs anyone?
22 hours difference and a big change in emotions. Managed to share the course with for my first and penultimate lap. And thanks to and for the first lap chats.
The running was great, but the people made the event. It may have been a running event, but really it was a social event with running involved
The first 6/7 laps I was full of energy feeding off the energy of the events. But by lap 14 I done.
Huge test of mental resilience to keep pushing, Massive respect to everyone who took part.

112km ✅
Wow. No words.
Probably the hardest thing I’ve done physically in my life.
Thank you to every single person I meet out on the course. Was such a well run event and I met so many friendly people.
Some people have asked me why?
Honestly, good question. At times I did not know why.
But when you’re 20 hours deep into a marathon, you will find out who you are.
Resilience, perseverance and insanity got me through💪
Ultra training has completely changed how I train.
I used to think every run had to be hard to count, pushing pace, chasing numbers, always finishing drained. But lately I’ve leaned into slowing things down properly and it’s made everything better.
Easy runs actually feel easy now. I recover quicker, I’m more consistent, and I’m not getting injured or fatigue into every session. Mentally, I enjoy running again instead of dreading it.
The interesting part is I’ve actually got faster because of it. At the weekend I ran a 10K PB off the back of more controlled, slower training runs.
Sometimes the real progress happens when you stop trying to make every run a race. Slow the Fu*k down.
Remember when running a 5K felt like a massive achievement?
Now it seems like everyone is chasing marathons, ultramarathons, backyard ultras, and 100-mile races.
The rise of ultrarunning has inspired more people to push their limits, which is amazing. But don’t let social media convince you that your goals aren’t big enough.
That said… this weekend I’m joining the madness and taking on an ultramarathon 🫠
