A great few days of learning, networking and sharing ideas with colleagues from around the world. Excellent speakers, beautiful surroundings, and lots of inspiration to bring back to my clinic.

Lipoedema UK, and the amazing women running it, are changing lives and raising awareness of a condition that affects many women. Women who have blamed themselves for years.

Thankfully, this is changing.

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience and voices of women everywhere, including the many women living with lipoedema.

Too many people spend years trying to understand their symptoms or find the right support. That’s why raising awareness and building a supportive community is so important.

At Lipoedema UK, we are proud to support women by sharing information, raising awareness and helping people feel supported on their journey.

With Vodder, Foeldi and LTA Fill and Flush training, I can tick three of the four.
It's always been important to me to have the proper qualifications, staying up-to-date and being registered with a governing body that holds me and others accountable. This helps keep the standards high and, most importantly, keeps patients safe.

MLDUK believes that to ensure that the highest standards of Manual Lymphatic Drainage are maintained, practice should be confined to those who have undertaken, or who are undertaking, training through these four schools or their accredited teachers.

Yay, my new air conditioning unit was delivered yesterday. The old one was not coping anymore.

Client comfort is, of course, important, but it's about more than that.

Correct Manual Lymph Drainage should not be done with oil.

This means the temperature must be right. Clammy skin (and clammy hands) means I can't move my hands on the skin properly. If I'm using deep oscillation, the contact is broken and it doesn't work.

However, that's now not an issue, as the room is just the right temperature. 👌
