Just dropping this on the grid as a little reminder that I’m still here in the background, I’m just working extra hard on the core of my business… myself ❤️‍🩹

Tonight has reminded me once again exactly why I chose this path in life. Not just for the business itself, but for the people, the connections, the experiences and the little moments that remind you why you started in the first place.

It’s also reminded me just how important it is to look after yourself and find that balance between life & business. Something I’ve definitely had to learn the hard way this year 🫶🏽

Of course, I had a migraine that almost made me not show up 🫣 but I took all the steps and the painkillers to be able to push myself to go and I’m so glad I did!

Networking is so much more than “promoting your business”. It’s about real connections with real people. Hearing everyone’s stories, seeing how many completely different businesses can exist in the same room and realising that behind every business is a person with their own journey, challenges, dreams and reasons for starting.

Taking a step back, slowing down and giving myself some time (partially) away from the business definitely wasn’t on the bingo cards for 2026… but honestly, it is 100% what I needed.

Sometimes you have to step away from the things you love to find your way back to it with a clearer head, a fuller heart and a better understanding of what really matters 💖

So yes, I’m still here. Just quietly working on the most important part of my business right now… me ✨✨✨

I don’t think people talk enough about how much starting a business makes you work so hard on yourself ✨

Not just your skills, not just your business, you!

When I started I thought I was just building a business and making people feel confident in themselves. I didn’t realise I’d also be building my own confidence, boundaries, discipline, resilience and a much stronger sense of who I actually am 🥺

I’ve had to adapt ‘Kinda Chic’ along the way too🫣🤣 Adapt it around my life, my priorities, my circumstances and the person I’m becoming rather than constantly trying to fit myself into what I thought a “successful business” was supposed to look like.

I’ve learnt that building something of your own doesn’t have to mean losing yourself in it. It can mean creating something that finally allows you to be more yourself 💫🪴

They can copy what you do… but they can’t copy YOU 🫶🏽

There will always be someone who can recreate your services, your offers, your aesthetic or even your content but they can’t replicate the years you’ve put into building your skills.

They can’t copy your personality, your energy, the way you make your clients feel or the relationships you’ve built along the way - trust me, they’re special 🥰

Your business isn’t just what you sell it’s the person behind it;
So keep creating.
Keep evolving.
Keep doing it your way.

Because imitation might be flattering… but there’s only one you ✨✨✨✨
