Breastfeeding in public ( . )( . )
Many mums find it daunting feeding in public, I know I did the first time. Try and ease your self into it, go with a friend/family or another breastfeeding mum. Go to a quiet cafe or somewhere you can get comfy and itβs not too crowded. You canβt be turned away for breastfeeding, have a look at some local cafes with breastfeeding friendly awards near you!
Quite often a small tweak in position and attachment with make an immediate difference to your feeding journey. You will feel more comfortable and the pain will reduce, if there is extensive ni**le damage this may take longer but you should already feel the difference once latch and positioning are corrected. Other times a bit more support is needed with things like tongue tie, however you can sometimes feed effectively with tongue tie if the right support is givenπ€π½

πΌ Welcome to the World, June Babies of Rotherham! πΌ
We are thrilled to welcome the 183 beautiful babies born in Rotherham this June, including 101 boys and 82 girls. We also celebrated the arrival of 3 sets of twins! The busiest day was June 11th, and we saw some incredible milestones, from our biggest baby at 10 lbs 12 oz to our smallest at 4 lbs 12 oz.
π§ We had 7 pool births and 4 home births, with 60% of babies breastfeeding at birth.
π Birth experiences varied with:
22% unplanned cesarean births
15% planned cesarean births
7% forceps births
3% ventouse births
43% inductions
53% unassisted vaginal births
We understand that the path to parenthood can come with its own set of challenges, and not every experience may be filled with joy and celebration. If you're facing difficulties or your experience hasn't been what you expected, please know that you're not alone. Your voice is important, and we encourage you to reach out if you need a listening ear or support to navigate any tough situations.
To all the new parents, congratulations on your new arrivals. Welcome to the community of Rotherham! πΈ
