There’s a lot more behind this transformation than you see in the final result...

My guest originally came to me wearing nano extensions that had been fitted at another salon. During her consultation, I could see that unfortunately there were areas where her natural hair had been compromised, with some breakage around the previous attachment points.

For me, that meant one thing. We weren't fitting anything until we'd properly assessed the hair and made a plan.

We had an in-depth consultation following the manufacturer’s guidelines, looking at her natural hair, its current condition, her previous extension history, what she wanted to achieve and what would be realistic moving forward.

Because of what I found, I also contacted Beauty Works directly for their professional advice.

The recommendation was to give her hair a break from nanos and move over to a Beauty Works Express Weft. This would allow us to give her the length and volume she really wanted while choosing a different method that was more appropriate for where her hair is currently.

Then we could get to the exciting part... the transformation. 😍

We took her from shorter blonde hair to these incredible, long copper lengths, and I am OBSESSED with the result.

But beautiful extensions aren't just about what happens in the salon.

We went through her aftercare thoroughly and put together a Beauty Works homecare regime, alongside a maintenance plan so we can continue monitoring her natural hair and look after both her hair and her extensions moving forward.

Extensions are NOT one size fits all.

Neither of us knew she was going pink today… 🩷

Today’s appointment was booked as a bleach & tone, but during our consultation I asked one simple question…

“How would you feel about a pale pink?”

And suddenly she remembered just how much she’d missed her pink hair 🌸

Stepping outside your comfort zone is where the real growth happens.

My sister asked me to create something special for Reggae Land this weekend, and although this is the first time I've ever attempted anything like this, I couldn't say no.

Is it perfect? No.
Would I change a few things next time? Absolutely.

But every new skill starts somewhere. The only way we improve is by trying, learning from what didn't quite go to plan and coming back even better next time.

I'm proud of myself for giving it a go, and this is just the beginning. Here's to pushing boundaries, learning new skills and getting better every time.
