As you may or may not know, I’m now going it alone with my sister business Hall & Hines and so I’m making a few changes. I’m bringing House on Fire and Hall & Hines together under a brand new name….Shine! Shine (formerly Hall & Hines)]

I’m still going to be selling the same products but now they’ll be with all the lovely cards, blankets and gifts all in one place. My website is still a work in progress so for now everything is still available at

Lovely new soap and candles from I’ve got a candle burning and it smells gorgeous!

So now that I’m on my own, I’m going to be bringing my two brands together. I would love it if you could come and follow me over on as I’m slowly going to be moving to that account. Also…there’s going to be a name change. There’s a big clue on the windows 🤣

I know this has been shared a lot but there has never been a year when I’ve felt it more! January was a struggle for me, I was hit with another dose of horrible covid and it has just dragged on and on. But enough moaning!

I am super grateful that Laura (), Scott and Olivia kept my shop up and running. I popped in today and tomorrow (Tuesday) I’m planning to be there 10am - 3pm!

February is a new beginning plus it’s the year of the Tiger so if that isn’t a good omen, I don’t know what is 🐅

There will be a lot happening in the next few months so keep your eyes peeled!

Hello! It’s been nice to be back today for the first trading Saturday of the year. I’ve popped a few bits and pieces in my January sale including nappies, boosters and liners, back issues of and some lunch and butty bags. I’ll be updating the website gradually too.

Toothpaste tablets. Love them or hate them? They’re not for everyone but we’re big fans in our house. I recommend just easing in gently, trying to swap to tablets once a day at first and then build up slowly. Might be a good small change for the new year!
