Slow morning. Cold water. A robe that's seen things. No phone for two hours.
This is what the studio is actually for. Not the class itself, the rest of the week that the class makes possible.
If you're tense, scrolling, half-watching something you don't care about - Monday's session matters more than you think.

Where are you today?

Conscious connected breathing - fast, rhythmic, deliberate - shifts your blood chemistry within minutes. The default mode network (the bit that runs your inner monologue) quiets down. Brainwaves drop into theta. Endogenous opioids release. People laugh. People cry. People see colours. People come back the next month.

Add Drum & Bass through a proper sound system and a room people doing the same thing, and the floor disappears. Contrast therapy in the spa and you will feel complete release and reconnection.

One last reminder.

This Sunday, Chris is running Fabulous Fermentation at Brook Place. Three hours, noon till three, plant-based lunch on the table.

You'll learn to brew kombucha and make kimchi from scratch. You'll eat well. And you'll go home with your very own SCOBY - the living, slightly wobbly mother culture that turns a jar of sweet tea into kombucha, week after week, for as long as you keep feeding it.

You'll leave with a full belly, your own SCOBY, and a lifetime of knowledge!
