This client came to me feeling self-conscious about the scar on their foot especially during the summer months.
For their first session, we started with medical needling rather than going straight in with camouflage.
But why? 👇🏼
Medical needling comes first because we want to improve the scar tissue before introducing pigment.
It can help to:
Soften and remodel scar tissue
Improve the texture and flexibility of the skin
Encourage collagen production
Create a better surface for future camouflage
Once the scar has been sufficiently improved and the skin is ready, camouflage pigment can then be considered to help blend the colour with the surrounding skin.
It’s a process and we don’t rush it. 🤍
