Hi all,
I thought I’d update you all on my travels, I had a fab time in Sri Lanka - see you all very soon🤍 (Wednesday 4th Feb)

🇱🇰 Sri Lanka – 19th Jan to 2nd Feb 🌴🐘

19th Jan – Landed in Colombo at 3am to find out our luggage was lost 🙃 drove straight to Udawalawe with no clothes or toiletries.

20th Jan – Udawalawe safari anyway! Elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, deer, buffalo, birds. Chaos but worth it.

21st Jan – Travelled to Ella, grabbed food and chilled… then stayed awake until 3:30am waiting for our bags to arrive 😭 the relief!!

22nd Jan – Tea plantations, learnt how tea is made and tasted them all. Private cooking class learning traditional Sri Lankan dishes.

23rd Jan – Cafe Soul for views of the 9 Arch Bridge & Ella train, Ella swing, zip line, beach club and climbed Little Adam’s Peak. A full day!

24th Jan – Travelled to Mirissa. Beautiful lodge, pool time and slow pace started here.

25th Jan – Snorkelling at Turtle Bay, Coconut Tree Hill and tried for the outdoor cinema but it was fully booked 😩

26th Jan – 5am whale & dolphin watching, then pool afternoon to recover.

27th Jan – Pool morning then Weligama beach.

28th Jan – Final Mirissa chill day.

29th Jan – Travelled to Galle, explored the fort and did some shopping.

30th Jan – Silver ring making class where me and Sam Fishwick made rings for our 7 year anniversary 🥹 then I got a tiny elephant tattoo (sorry again mum).

31st Jan – Turtle hatchery visit and released a baby turtle into the sea.

1st Feb – Last day in Colombo for a bit of shopping.

2nd Feb – Long journey home via Abu Dhabi with a 7 hour wait… straight back to work 😅
