Locks Beautiful

Hey everyone! 🤎

So this is really hard and I never thought I would actually post this on my page.

But it’s been 7 months nearly that I’ve been fully closed for and writing that down is honestly is bringing me to tears. It feels like a lifetime.

I would like to be able to confidently open Locks Beautiful’s doors and stay open.
No cancellations, no having to move things around — a proper relaunch, where you can have complete confidence that I’m back and I’m here to stay. 🤎

But…I genuinely don’t know how long it’s going to be, because there’s still a lot I need to build back up to be me… my back, shoulders, core, standing stamina, calf muscles, ankle, foot… basically everything I have “lost” that I need to regain before I can be Locks Beautiful again. 🤎

There is unfortunately one thing I do need to be honest about…

Packed-in scalp highlights with one colour toner all over will not be coming back. I’m so sorry. 🥺
It’s a really tough decision for me but it’s called the back-breaker for a reason, and I have to make changes that allow me to keep going strong for years to come.

The most unbelievably perfectionist hairdresser, following you out the door making sure not one single strand is out of place… will be back. 😂😂🤎😂😂

I’m fighting so hard i promise🥹🥹🤎

Private physio is going really really well — it’s just a long journey, and I’m learning to be patient with myself.

I miss you all so, so much, I honestly cannot wait to do hair and get colour everywhere before i’ve even started 😂

I’ll probably cry tears of happiness every single day for about a month. 🥹😂🤎

Hey everyone 🤎

When Locks Beautiful relaunches, there will be a price increase

Looking back, from starting out as a mobile hairdresser with a plastic basin, to working from home, then renting a chair, and now owning my own home salon, I realised I haven’t increased my prices in line with how much the business has grown 🤎

Apart from balayage which i increased after intense education, i’m very happy with my balayage prices 🤎

But for example:
2020 dry cut £20 → 2026 dry cut £25
2022 cut & blow dry £40 → 2026 cut & blow dry £45

I also haven’t increased prices since April 2024 and after doing my tax return, it’s clear just how much everything has gone up lately — water, electric, colour, peroxide, foils, bleach, fresha, even Google 🫣

I honestly hate having to do this, but as a self-employed business owner, it’s something I need to do to keep Locks Beautiful going strong 🤎🤎

So when I return to work and relaunch, it will be with an updated price list.

I truly hope you’ll continue to support me and my Locks Beautiful business 🥰🤎

I thought i would do a post 🤎

wow it feels like a life time a go that i was in my beautiful home salon, i stare at it every day waiting for that day i can pick up my comb and starting weaving, slicing, blending, getting messy, if you know you know 😂 i don’t know how i do it 😂

Nearly 3 months my doors have been closed 😔 so getting an award like this has given me such a wonderful boost to get me through the next bit of recovery 🥹🤎

Colour is my love as soon as i opened locks beautiful i was straight onto the education learning from everyone who inspired me, i’ve done so many classes online and in person i’ve lost count, to become the perfectionist i am, once again if you know you know 😂

I love to give you all the most perfect experience as soon as you step through the door with the perfect border biscuits, coffee, flavoured teas, the movies you like to watch the 1 on 1 experience not feeling rushed and stepping out the door with a smile on your face 🥹

i feel near the end i fought as hard as i could through the pain with tears running down my face as the first client walked in, waiting for the pain killers to kick in but it finally took me out of the game and i had to shut locks beautiful’s doors, which never in a million years did i think i would have to do especially after already managing to keep them open after being diagnosed with anti gad encephalitis back in 2022, this better be the last thing universe 😂 i love my job!

Thankyou for sticking by me through everything and i can’t wait to see you all again 🤎
