Acupuncture during pregnancy is safe and very beneficial! I see it daily in my practice :)
However in pregnancy, the abdomen & lumbar regions should not be needled, as well as these 6 acupuncture points!
But these 6 points can be used at the end of pregnancy safely, during difficult labor and/or for cervical ripening if deemed necessary.

However, further rigorously designed, large-scale RCTs are needed to confirm these findings.
