Here’s a fun one:
💇♀️The “bob” haircut became a symbol of women’s liberation in the 1920s.
✨Popularised by flapper icons like Clara Bow and Louise Brooks, the bob was a dramatic departure from the long, elaborate hairstyles women had worn for centuries.
💪It was seen as a bold statement of freedom and modernity, allowing women to embrace a more active lifestyle and move away from traditional, restrictive roles.
In fact, the style was so revolutionary that it even sparked protests from those who thought it was scandalous.

Here’s another fun fact: In the 1960s, the 🐝“Beehive” hairstyle became iconic, popularized by stars like Amy Winehouse and Brigitte Bardot.
The style was created by backcombing the hair and then rolling and stacking it to form a beehive shape.
👨🎤It took a lot of hairspray and hours to perfect! Interestingly, the style was inspired by the elaborate hairdos of the 1950s but became a symbol of rebellion and the counterculture movement as it was embraced by younger generations during the ’60s.

Fun fact!
🇪🇬Did you know that in ancient Egypt, both men and women used hair dye and wigs as part of their daily grooming?
🌱Egyptian wigs were often made from human hair or plant fibers and were intricately styled to show status and fashion.
☀️Hair dye was made from natural ingredients like henna and plant extracts, and it was used not just for vanity but also to protect the scalp from the harsh sun.
👩🏾🦰Cleopatra, for example, was known to use a mixture of henna to dye her hair a rich reddish color.
