Highlights on virgin hair 🍦🤎
For first time highlights I always recommend staying on the softer side to ease you in. Here’s why 👇🏻

1. Make sure you like it! Have you ever wanted something so bad but once you get it realise you should have actually had something else instead? 🤭 Me too girl. We can always build up and add more highlights on the next appointment.

2. Regrowth. You’ve never had to deal with roots before so starting with something that will grow out beautifully is a good place to start before having anything too high maintenance.

3. Home care. I need to make sure you fully understand the up-keep of coloured hair. A £5 shampoo and straightening with no heat protection, isn’t going to look after your £150+ hair.

4. Cost. 90% of the time first time colouring happens at the age of 16 with parents footing the bill as a gift. But they can’t/wont up keep their hair, your hair, and all the products needed at home. You’re either not working yet or part time or saving for big life purchases like cars or uni. Having a full platinum card then starting to see roots 5 weeks later just isn’t going to work for most people that age.
