I get asked quite a lot whether I have treatments myself, and the answer is YES.

I’ve had lip and cheek filler, anti-wrinkle and various skin treatments, and I actually think being a client yourself gives you a different perspective🔍

Because I know what it’s like to sit there wondering:

“Is this actually right for me?”
“How much is too much?”
“Will I still look like myself?”🫣

Those are all completely normal thoughts, and they’re exactly why I’ll always take the time to talk things through properly before treating you!

For me, aesthetics isn’t about constantly finding something else to change. It’s about looking after my skin, making small tweaks when I fancy them and loving the treatments I choose🍒

And honestly, I think it’s important that your practitioner understands what it feels like to be the client too💉

A little before & after from a recent lesion removal📸

This client came to me with a small raised lesion that she wanted removed, and this is the result✨

Lesion removal is a quick treatment for suitable benign skin lesions, with the aim of removing the lesion while minimising trauma to the skin around it.

Every lesion is assessed before treatment, and not every lesion is suitable for removal (if you’ve seen my last post, you’ll understand👀). If there’s any uncertainty about what a lesion is, I’ll always recommend the appropriate medical assessment rather than treating it⚠️

So I recently had a potential client ask me if I could remove a mole for her.

When I saw it, I wasn’t comfortable treating it as a cosmetic concern so rather than agreeing to remove it, I advised her to book in at her GP to have it properly assessed…

She’s now been referred for a biopsy.

And this is exactly why I will never treat something just because a client asks me to❌

Moles and skin lesions aren’t always as straightforward as they might seem, and sometimes the best thing I can do for you is tell you not to have it removed yet.

I’m not here to diagnose anything, which is why I’ll always tell you to get something checked if I’m not happy that it’s suitable for cosmetic removal.

In this case, my client followed my advice and has now been referred for a biopsy.

It might turn out to be nothing to worry about, but I’d much rather you got it checked first, than removing something that could potentially turn out to be more sinister than it seems👀
