From Jazz Club to a classic ombré 🤍🩷

My lovely Orla was back in the chair for her rebalance and we decided it was time for a wee change!

Now, her previous set was the stunning Jazz Club from Kohana Professional and can we just appreciate how perfect that shade is for a hairdresser working with dark dyes all day?! If you know, you KNOW! 🤣🙌🏻

But today we ditched the darker tones and went for something completely different… a gorgeous, soft pink and white ombré. 😍

And I mean, COME ON! Just look at that finish! 🥹

There’s something about a classic ombré that will never go out of style. Clean, elegant, timeless and goes with absolutely everything.

A fresh rebalance, a change of colour and Orla is good to go for another few weeks! ❤️

DUBAI READY 🇦🇪☀️💅🏼

My lovely Yulia was back in the chair ahead of jetting off to Dubai for a few weeks (not jealous at all, Yulia 🙄🤣).

With a few weeks of hot sunshine ahead, we opted for hard gel this time for that extra strength and durability while she’s away.

Now, we did have one wee casualty when she arrived 👀 One nail had lost part of its length, but was I cutting them all down to match? Absolutely NOT! 🤣

Out came the acrygel, and I sculpted the missing section back on, restoring the length and shape to match the rest.

As I always say in the studio, there’s nothing we can’t fix! 💪🏼

And just look at that finished set! 😍 Soft, delicate pink with the prettiest wee sparkle. Classy, elegant and ready for Dubai!

This is exactly why I love having different nail systems at my fingertips. It’s not always about starting again. Sometimes it’s about knowing which product and technique will get the best result.

And this time she’s wedding ready! 🥂

We went for this gorgeous rich berry sparkle with a little pop of gold because if there’s ever an excuse for a bit of sparkle, it’s a wedding. ✨

Short, neat, sparkly and absolutely gorgeous on her. Now all that’s left to do is get the glad rags on and enjoy the celebrations. 😂🥂

Benita was back in the chair and just LOOK at that before and after. 👏🏼

From grown out sparkle and nail art to a complete switch up with this gorgeous deep berry shade. Shorter, perfectly shaped, clean around those cuticles and glossy AF. 🤌🏼

Sometimes you don’t need nail art… a beautiful colour and a crisp manicure does ALL the talking. 🍷✨

And can we appreciate those natural nails underneath?! This is exactly why I love a BIAB journey .. strength, growth and gorgeous nails appointment after appointment. 🫶🏼

If there’s one thing about Laura, it’s that she NEVER comes to an appointment without a new idea for me to try! 🤣💅

And this appointment was no different!

Not only did she have her design picked out, but she even arrived armed with a tutorial video to show me how to do the marble effect! 😂

Now THAT’S a girl who knows what she wants, and it’s only fair I give it to her! 🤣👏

This marble was a first for me, but sure, we’re always up for a wee challenge here at Grá Nails!

We swapped her previous set for these gorgeous blue tones, crisp French tips and a marble accent nail that I’m actually a wee bit obsessed with! 💙🩵

And with Laura lucky enough to be jetting off to the sunshine soon, it was only right that her nails were holiday ready! ☀️🍹

SOPHIE SAID BYE BYE SIMPLE… 😂🤎✨

Sophie was back in the chair and we definitely gave her last set a bit of an upgrade! 👀 From a pretty bronzeFrench to full on autumn nail art and I am OBSESSED.

Blooming florals, polka dots, that gorgeous smoky aura effect, teeny gold details… every nail has its own wee moment but somehow they all work perfectly together. 🤌🏼🍂

These are exactly the kind of sets I LOVE doing .. give me a few colours, a bit of nail art and let me get creative. 😍

Safe to say Sophie left with a completely different set than she arrived with!

Autumn nails, but make them cute. 🤎

🤍 Turns out… it’s not just about the nails.

I asked my clients what their favourite thing about Grá Nails was, fully expecting answers like the nail art, the colours, the retention, the endless wall of Kohana… 😂

Instead I got:

“YOU.”
“The chats!!!”
“The nail tech 🫶🏽”
“You! Obvi 😌”
…and my personal favourite…
“It doesn’t matter if I’m awkward because you would talk to the wall.” 😭😂

And yes, thankfully somebody DID mention the nail art. 😂❤️

But reading these genuinely made me a wee bit emotional.

Because when I started Grá Nails, I never wanted it to feel like just somewhere you came, got your nails done and left.

I wanted my studio to be somewhere you could come in, shut the door on the outside world for an hour and just be yourself.

Come in buzzing. Come in wrecked. Come in with all the gossip. Come in needing a rant. Come in and say absolutely nothing if that’s what you need.

Although apparently I’ll talk to the wall regardless. 😂

The beautiful nails are obviously a bonus 💅🏼, but the relationships I’ve built with the women who sit across from me every day are hands down one of my favourite parts of this wee business.

Grá means love… and I think these answers sum up exactly what I wanted Grá Nails to be. 🤍
