Morning, a bit of Monday morning inspiration ππ» Just a reminder that self care is an everyday practice not just a one off-thinking of the importance of having a daily practice

I love how sunrise and sunset looks so similar! Can you tell which one this is?
Can you feel the shift in the energy? The slightly lighter mornings, slightly longer evenings of sunlight? I love Spring but I love the change from Winter to Spring more π Smells like hope; the joy of knowing winter always turns in to spring π
Happy imbolc! Weβre now officially about halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.

Guess whoβs got a new logo? π€ Very nice if I do say so myself! π
Iβll be cracking on with some sounds today as my First Aid course has fallen through (long story filled with tech issues and miscommunications π)
What internal resources do you lean into when things go wrong? What helps and What really doesnβt?
After a powerful morning Gongyo and lots of resounding chanting, Iβm more than ready to face the day πͺπ½πͺπ½ππ½ππ½π¦
A visual representation of me chanting this morning! I chant pretty fast and completed 90minutes of daimoku this morning (including Gongyo, my prayers as a Nichiren Buddhist) My voice is quite low when chanting, a bit like an alto tone but has a lot of resonance and a long sustain! (I chant from my diaphragm) Itβs quite an earthy, rich sound and I always feel amazing after chanting. The voice is a really impactful way to enhance the body and mind through sound. I find it so soothing yet refreshing and invigorating. By combining a low tone with a high tempo rhythm, bit like a horses gallop, it stimulates action (for me) but also soothes.
Interestingly Notes D, B, E and G relate to the Sacral, Crown, Solar Plexus and Throat chakras
Love how quickly, I touch through them all! ππ»π¦
Yesterday was all about connecting with the sea, waves and movement, today was a focus on grounding, nature and stillness. Listening and being still. ππ€
Drums and drum like sounds are a great way to develop a sense of community, oneness and coming together. They also can bring a great sense of release, moving through any sense of resistance you might have to the sound, especially those deep, warm, holding drum notes. We experimented with drums, Himalayan bowls, Tibetan tings ha bells and vocal over toning today to feel a sense of release and clarity, surrounded by the gorgeous warmth of the sea. Saturday well spent! ππ»πππ

9 days today since this magic moment in the woods. So much sharing, connection, ideas, belonging and fundamentally, *Alignment*. There and since. Iβve been busy with other projects, family and work but havenβt forgotten my heart ππ¦ Exciting things on the horizon! π π―

Whilst participating in the British Academy of Sound, Group Art Sound therapy course, I created a metaphorical soundscape, βWhite noiseβ using a Koshi chime and Crystal bowls. This has now been incorporated beautifully into a longer soundscape collaboration which is around 25mins long. A shorter mix of the soundscape is posted below and has now been entered into the virtual art installation at the London Creativity and Wellbeing Week βͺfrom the 18 - 24th β¬May 2020!
Very excited and a good end to week 2 on the journey of becoming a Professional Sound therapist π Sounds amazing and a true representation of Art as Sound! Let me know in the comments the sounds you like/donβt like love or hate.

Afternoon guys! Iβve been experimenting with creating soundscapes with instruments to support relaxation and interpreting images into sound π Iβve created a mini soundscape to represent the white imagery within the following painting, using a Koshi chime (water element) and Crystal bowls (in note A).
Beautifully soothing and 5mins in length, this piece has now been incorporated into a larger soundscape collaboration lasting 25mins long with the British Academy of Sound, Group Art and Sound therapy course participants.
Sounds amazing and a true representation of Art as Sound!
