One of the reasons I chose to work with my lovely independent prescriber nurse Kelly, is because client safety is just as important to her as it is to me 🤍

Yes, a consultation is a legal requirement before prescription-only treatments, but not all consultations are the same.

A thorough consultation gives clients the opportunity to discuss their medical history, medications and any factors that could affect whether treatment is suitable, how effective the product is likely to be, and how long results may last.

Some medications and medical conditions can affect how the body responds to treatment, meaning the product may not work as expected or may break down more quickly.

Having all of this information allows clients to make a fully informed decision before going ahead with treatment.

Sometimes clients choose to proceed knowing their results may not last as long, and sometimes they decide treatment isn’t right for them at that time, and that’s absolutely okay too.

I chose to work with a prescriber who takes the time to have these conversations properly because, for me, consultations should be about more than simply obtaining a prescription.

They should be about safety, suitability, education, and making sure every client feels informed and confident in the decisions they’re making 🤍

The aim wasn’t bigger lips, but a little more hydration, definition and volume while keeping everything soft, natural and in proportion to her features, I’m so glad my client loves them 🥰

Today was also a huge milestone for me personally, as I completed my first live lip filler treatment since qualifying earlier this year. I’ve spent months learning, revising anatomy, practising and building my confidence, so to finally put it all into practice feels amazing.

Pottering in the garden yesterday really helped my mood after receiving bad news, I’m so in love with it out there 😍😍 the moment I’m in my chair looking around at the plants and Marshall and Elliott when they play and it makes everything else seem unimportant, just to sit and enjoy the moment 💙 🥹
